A bit of the rancho life experience in Mazatlan
We had an amazing time at the ranch with the Lionso family and staff. We started our day with a pickup from our driver Skippo who was very polite and hospitable and took good care of us along the route and gave us a lot of good information about the city and recommendations. Once we arrived we were kindly greeted by the staff Jaime, Armando and the friendly little Yerena who were all very welcoming. We setup the horse back ride for day prior to our and we were assisted by our ride lead Erasmo who took us on a ride around the beautiful landscaped Agave fields, jungle backdrop and beach ride along the northern coast of Mazatlan which had a lot of breath taking views along the way. When we got back Jamie and Armando had lunch for the whole group ready and it was such an amazing meal. Once we finished our meals we were offered the mezcal and tequila tasting from the ranch as well as the other tequilerias from the Lionso family and I do recommend tasting the Jamiaca (Hibiscus) and the Tamarindo with a bit of lime. All in all 100% recommend this as an experience if you plan on visiting Mazatlan and want to step away from the city for something you won’t experience just anywhere.

          ATV adventure!!
We met up with our host right after getting off the ship. They were standing in the shop area holding a sign. Checking in was fast and efficient. There were about 10 of us total. We got onto a mini van type vehicle and drove about 40 mins thru the city to our destination. Although the AC was on, it was warm and stuffy. Our driver was friendly, spoke english very well and most importantly, drove safe. Once arrived to destination, we were offered a cold beer and began getting fitted for hemlets and goggles. You can buy a fabric facemask for $5 to keep the dust off ur face. I brought my own hanker chief to use. You definitely need something because it’s very dusty one you start moving on the quads. Id say we rode about 45-60 mins. Trail flat and easy. Quads selt safe and ran great. We stopped at the beach and jumped in the ocean and then rode on the beach for about 15 minutes. More ice cold beers were handed out for those who wanted them! Me!! Once back at the ranch, we sat at beautifully decorated tables and a large pitcher of pink lemonade with flour blossoms was delivered to our table and another ice cold beer. They also made Table side melted cheese dish, which was amazing. The food was excellent. I am a vegetarian and they accommodated me wonderfully. After we ate, we sampled multiple different types of on-site brewed tequilas. I tried a shot of tequila that had a dead rattlesnake in it!! Our favorite was the chocolate cream tequila which we bottle a bottle for $30 to take home. Dessert was a homemade cinnamon roll and pan seared caramelized bananas. Then they took us around the ranch and showed us the distilling process for the tequila which was very interesting. After we were full and slightly buzzed, we were taken back to the port. On The ride to the ranch we were taken through matzalan which is very poverty-stricken and on the way back to the ship we were taken through the tourist high class section, which is pretty neat to see.

Highly recommend even if not as advertised on Trip Advisor.
It was an interesting experience but there was no Shaman to guide you. We put on our own mud and later washed it off. The warm pool with spring water was refreshing. The sweat lodge/hut was amazing!!!! Felt so good for the body! Highly recommend it even if it wasn’t as advertised. The meal was delicious and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Oh what fun and good food.
Had a nice fast 45 min private ATV tour (lots of previous experience), wonderful lunch, tequila tasting, distillery explanation and guest shop experience. I highly recommend this place and their staff.

It was good to do once. It was at Mr. Lionsenso ranchito. We did the ATV and lunch and tequila tasting. I wouldn’t do it again.

          Jungle and Beach ATV Tour
From the shuttle pick up at our hotel to our return trip back, the tour was awesome! The ATV tour guides were friendly, and the duration of the tour was just right. The jungle and beach were great. Each member of our family had a fantastic time and captured some amazing photos along the way. After our ride, we got to savour delicious enchiladas and tasty tequila cheese. And, the hibiscus lemonade …yum! We also got to sample the ranch’s various in-house mezcals, over and over. This was a wonderful experience! Fabulous for groups and solo travelers alike.

          The Perfect Day!
Riding a horse on the beach was spectacular. Our guide, Enrique, was great. Even better was the food and beverages. We tasted Mezcal. They fed us burritos in the fresh air with homemade hibiscus lemonade and WOW. Then, there was more - freshly made queso at our table!! If they offer you something to eat, EAT IT! If they offer you a drink, DRINK IT! There were even puppies to pet and a gift shop. I could not have been more relaxed. Perfect start to our vacation.

Zip-lining, ATV, and Kayaking. Fun for everyone! This family took care of us like we were family!
minutes ago New Dec 2024 - Our adventure started with our driver from the port! Enrique was knowledgeable and very friendly. When we got to our destination we were greeted by our guide team. They set us up in our equipment and made sure we had everything we needed before starting out. We hopped into the truck and headed up the mountain. We had a short training session and then we were off. My first time and it was exhilarating! Highly recommend this tour and these guides. Safety first, with FUN a close second. When we were done in the canopy, we were served an amazing authentic Mexican 🌯🌮lunch with a 🍺. Across the road to the Tequilaria for the BEST tequila I have ever tasted. Next across the courtyard to the silversmith and leatherman’s shop where I bought some beautiful handcrafted earrings. This family took care of us like we were family! Ziplining, ATV, and Kayaking. Fun for everyone ❤️ Thanks to everyone for the best time ❤️

Nice ATV ride but not a good experience overall
Not as great as we had hoped. We took this because it had great reviews. Point of Contact was there at the port terminal when we disembarked but he kept us waiting for almost 40min so he could get another group to accompany us. FYI we had booked almost two weeks in advance. ATV ride experience was great. They took us to a secluded beach. We didn’t end up swimming because water was cold and deep. Lunch was ok. Nothing too special. The ranch where we rode the ATVs is almost a 40min ride from the port. Van ride was nice but the guide told us it was only a 25 min ride.

          Exciting excursion
Exciting ride through agave fields, the beach, lime groves, avocado trees, passing cows and bulls. Nice lunch. Tequila demo. All staff friendly and working to ensure a good time is had.

          ATV's and Lunch!
My family had a blast riding around the property. We were traveling with 3 kids under 18 and the staff took excellent care of us. The lunch though was probably one of the best meals that we had on our vacation.

Great and safe experience in the jungle! There were 12 ziplines and the longest one was 300 meters. Excellent team, charming village, and delicious authentic lunch. Fantastic excursion!

          Great Zip Lining Experience
Excellent experience. Business was outside the terminal bldg and we found them by the sign pictures sent to us. Travel van was new, clean, air conditioned, comfortable. Driver professional. Guides were awesome and extremely helpful. Zip lining was fantastic. Please note: Bring your phones/cameras for pictures! Every other excursion we did in the 3 ports made us leave our phones behind so they could sell us their pictures for $170-$200. One even taking the phones from us, so we assumed the same. Bummer, no pictures. I would do anything with this company again. Lunch was beyond expectations, delicious and plentiful.

          Great relaxing day!
This was an excellent trip. They could have explained the equipment better, but we were all familiar with kayaks. The river was fun. very calm mostly with some fast sections, small riffles. You could get sideways and dump the kayak, but the guides were careful to keep you away from faster water and snags. Lots of birds and beautiful river corridor to see. The best part however was the fantastic food served at the end. This deserves 6 stars! The village is really nice and the people are so helpful and friendly. The tequila house is fun and the personal tour of the whole thing makes it excellent.

        We had a great time!

We signed up for the tour after we got off our cruise ship. They put us in a taxi for a 25-minute ride to the ranch. The driver stays at the ranch the entire time, so we could leave anything that we didn't want to take on the ATV in the taxi.

When we arrived, they offered us cold drinks. They also suggested we visit the bano before going on the ride. The only thing that I didn't like was that they told us it would be really dusty and we should use a mask, but they didn't include it in the price. It was an additional $5 for the mask.

The ATVs were so much fun. I haven't rode one since I was a teenager, but I had no issues. Our guide was wonderful. I really liked that they didn't put us into a group. It was just us and our guide.

We rode the ATVs for a total of about 45 minutes. We stopped a couple of times to take pictures, and our guide picked us fresh limes.

When we returned to the ranch, they walked us through their jewelry store. We didn't want to buy anything and just passed through to the restaurant area. The lunch was wonderful. The food was fresh and tasted great. They made the tequila cheese right at the table.

While we were eating, they offered tastes of the different tequila flavors. There was tequila for sale, but there was no pressure to buy anything.

The restaurant area is beautiful and they told us that we could swim in the pool if we wanted to. The banos were clean.

We could have had a presentation on how tequila was made, but we chose not to.

Our taxi took us back into town when we asked to leave. We had a couple of hours before we had to be back at the ship, so we asked him to take us to a beach and he gave us a wonderful tour of the city and we stopped at a beach club for an hour.

So much fun and a TV ride through an agave plantation which ended at the beach. Fantastic family that runs the place and the meal was absolutely superb. The tasting was also fantastic. I don’t think I can ever buy agave syrup from Costco ever again :-)

Awesome experience! We had a tequila tasting, great lunch and a tour of the tequila making process. The agave plants were everywhere… it is an actual farm that the family has run for years. The all terrain vehicle tour was top notch! Our guide took us through country side and agave fields and then rode on the vacant beaches along the Pacific Ocean!
        I highly recommend this tour!!

The tour was more incredible than I can put into words. It was my 36th birthday and I took a trip to Mazatlán with my mother. The awesome people running the tours were so thoughtful and kind and made sure we had an incredible experience. We felt like safety was of the utmost importance to them and enjoyed ripping around in atvs while feeling safe! The food and drinks were incredible (try the snake shot!!). We'll definitely be back!!!

Lots of fun!! We Were picked up close to where we got off the cruise ship. Drove us outside of town to a lovely ranch. Many agave plants surrounded the place. Road our ATV through fields & trees before arriving at a beautiful beach. Stayed there for a good 15 minutes before heading back for lunch. Had a few vendors & I bought an opal ring which I love. It was a bit small for me so the vendor said he would size it for me & met our van as we got back into town.
Daughter gave us a tour of the tequila processing set up. Sat down to a delicious lunch followed by tequila tasting. Ended our meal with melted cheese & fresh flour tortillas!

This was such a disappointment! Went to Mr. Lionso Ranch and thought we were going to town of Veranos. ATV’s were beat up and food was NOT good. Tequilla factory was unfinished and dirty. Would never return here. In 2023 same tour to Veranos and excellent food and tequilla factory tour was food. Nice ATV ride there. Booked with Pronatours at our hotel and they switched our location without telling us. Definitely not worth time or money going to Mr. Lionso’s Ranch!

Did this as an excursion at our cruise port. Took a van out to the ranch and sampled some tequila. Plenty of beer to go around too! Taking the ATVs to the beach was kind of slow going and some people kept having mechanical issues, but once we got to the beach we got to go as fast as we wanted. Tons of fun and glad we did it! Great communication from the staff too. We were then served a tasty lunch and took the van back to the cruise port!

Our tour guide, Hector, was outstanding, picked us up in a very clean shuttle and drove us out to the property. Everyone was very welcoming. The ATVs were quite old, but the ride was fun and we had wonderful lunch prepared by the locals, as well as some yummy tequila tasting!

Such a fun experience from start to finish! Everyone involved was welcoming and positive. The ATV ride provided a bit of an adrenaline rush, and took us through some interesting terrain. Definitely good for both experienced and new riders. After the ride we were greeted by friendly staff who provided a delicious lunch. We really felt special. Then we were able to taste a bunch of different tequilas all made right on the property. Tasty!!!! We also were taken through the area where they make the tequila and learned about the process of tequila making. Very informative. I highly recommend this tour!!
