          Nice experience in Yogyakarta
It was a nice visit. The tour was well organised (the pick up at hotel and guides at both temples). Mr Dwi Purnomo is very friendly and helpful. Totally recommended!

          Good service!
Tomo was very attentive & considerate driver. He was punctual & opened to share about lots of things. He is also a non smoker, which I think a plus to people who don't like the cigarette smell. I did have a very comfortable trip with him.

          Fine and well organised tour
The sunrise of the Borobudur was nice, although it was cloudy and the temple is quite far away from the hill. At Borobudur and Prambanan it was beautyful and quiet. The guides and our driver (Pras) spoke good English, and had good stories and explanations. The tour was well organised.

          A memorable day
My driver picked me up at 8am and the whole trip lasted until 4:30 pm. I just wanted to see the temples, but not the sunrise option. We went by saloon car to Borobudur where my driver Hendra explained how the system worked, and arranged to meet me back at the car park. The temple itself involved quite a bit of climbing, so you have to be reasonably fit, but when reaching the top level it was well worth the effort. The guide that escorted us around the temple was very good and allowed us 20 minutes free time, before descending. You have to wear sandles provided by the temple authorities which are quite uncomfortable, quite a relief to take them off in fact. Found my driver and set off for the next temple Pramrannan. We stopped midway for lunch at a pretty good restaurant, with reasonably priced food and drink. Pramrannam was more informal than Borobudur. You are free to wander round by yourself, or take a guide if you want. The surrounding gardens are also quite pleasant to wander around after leaving the temple. I was back to my hotel around 4:30, which was just long enough for me. My driver Hendra was very pleasant and never rushed me. He gave me enough information, but never overloaded me with too much info. An excellent guide and a very likeable man.

          Great experience with Eko
We really loved the tour, especially with our guide Eko. He was super kind and knowledgeable. The tour was super nice, we got to see the temples. Eko borrowed us his umbrella which was very much appreciated due to the storm we had visiting one of the temples

          A Magical Evening
This was a great experience! Eko made sure I had a smooth transition between places and was very knowledgeable and patient. The guide at the temple was impressive and dinner and of course the ballet show were a perfect finishing touch to the day.

          Prambanan great tour!
Tomo was an excellent driver. I felt safe and enjoyed his conversation. It was a pleasure to spend time with him during the tour. My guide at Prambanan was concise and provided an interesting and informative explanation without excess details. Ramayana dance was very fascinating and fun

All in one package deal of Yogyakarta if you just have ONE day!
Amazing tour and more! This trip was booked last minute and our driver Eko was more than willing to go above and beyond to help us and take us to where we needed to go and even made stops after the tour was over and stayed few hours later than required! Started super early at around 345am pick up to go watch the sunrise over the temples and went cycling around town stopping at AMAZING sugar plantation, made pottery, and went to a bee farm all with our very knowledgeable and friendly guide Mat. After we had a great guide named Dwi who took us through the prambanan temple for the sunset and was very helpful with the history of the place. 5/5 stars!

The best way to experience Prambanan
Fantastic driver, tour guide, opera show, and experience, overall. Would highly recommend to do while in Jogjakarta. Very convenient package where you don't need to worry about a thing and can just enjoy the experience. The opera was a particular standout with very impressive choreography, music, and athleticism involved.

Beautiful temples and a fun jeep trip to the mountain. We met up with a local guide at Borobudur temple and I had a great time learning about the temple and its restoration. We also visited the multiple museums on the temple grounds. Then Merapi and visiting the local museum describing the eruptions.

Lunch was at a great restaurant and the timing was perfect because a quick but strong rainstorm came in at that time and it was good that we were indoors. There were actually trees knocked down at Prambanan during the storm, but it was open except for the museum.

Overall a great trip and highly recommended.

I took this trip back in January with my mom! The tour guide was extremely helpful and friendly. We got a personal tour guide who picked us up from the hotel, drove us to the temples, and dropped us off back at our hotel. The trip lasted an entire day, and our tour guide would stop along the road to introduce us to local fruits. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this to anyone visiting Yogyakarta.

I will preface this by saying that I usually do not write reviews. However, Tinton was such a great guide and a great person that I wanted to write this about him.

Tinton is a storyteller. Not only is he knowledgeable about Yogyakarta and Indonesia as a whole, but he is passionate about history. We talked at length on my trip about the origin of coffee as well as the histories of some words and languages. We had good conversation through the day and he was exceptionally patient with me. Thanks to him I learned more about Indonesia as a whole from it's time as a Dutch colony to how it is now.

From the morning, he picked me up from the hostel I was staying in and immediately we began our travels to the tour sites. I also got to know him a bit more personally as I was the only one who booked for that particular tour day. Turns out, Tinton himself is a traveler and has seen chunks of the world on a budget. He is passionate about seeing the world and meeting people but also about Indonesian culture. If you want someone who really loves his culture - he's the guide for you.

He also went above and beyond for me by showing me things that I requested to see. Thanks to him I was able to try some great kopi luwak (luwak coffee) as well as meet a family of artists who did Indonesian batik for a living and had works of art in their own home that they produced.

Tinton is an honest, down to earth, good human being who just so happens to give the utmost professionalism when it comes to giving visitors to Yogyakarta a great learning experience.

At the end of the day, Tinton also went above and beyond for me and dropped me off at the airport. Not only had I met a great guide, but I had met a friend I could come visit when I come back to Indonesia.

Thanks to Tinton, I was able to see a side of Indonesia that I would not have otherwise seen. I can gladly say that I love Indonesia and was so fortunate to have met Tinton and the people I met through him. To me that is a one of a kind experience, and I'm glad I scrolled down a bit further from the first results for tours of this area and booked with him.

If you're a person who is seeking to learn more about Indonesian culture, its people, and its history, I say that Tinton is the proper guide for you.

This tour is perfect if like us you are Yogyakarta for a couple of days and want to visit the temples and Merapi in one day. We started from Borobudur, then did the Jeep lava tour in Merapi and finished at Prambanan right on time for sunset. The temples are stunning, it feels unreal to be in front of such magnificent structures. The Jeep tour is a fun and original experience to discover the area around Merapi and know more about the history of the volcano. The real highlight of the tour for us was Tanto, our driver/guide, super friendly and able to give us the best advice and personalize our experience. After we told him we like nature and coffee, he stopped in a tobacco plantation first to let us take some pictures and then took us to the cutest Kopi Luwak coffee place to enjoy the world’s most famous coffee! We definitely recommend this tour! Thanks again Tanto for this experience we’ll never forget!

This is a very expensive day by Indonesian standards
because entry fees to the temples are high, but it is a fantastic experience.
Our guide Minul was prompt courteous and very efficient in getting us to the temples and volcano. The tickets were issued seamlessly on each occasion and he negotiated the traffic well and tailored the trip to suit us. Visibility ag the volcano was very poor, but it was still interesting to see the memorials and shelter and have the Jeep ride.
Both temples were fascinating and well worth the visit.

Enjoyed a fantastic day with Tomo as our guide and driver. He drove safely, and his vehicle was clean and comfortable, with excellent air conditioning. Tomo is very knowledgeable about Java and its culture. He's great with English, funny, and knows a lot about places around the world, not just locally.

The meal Tomo chose was delightful. The temples we visited were cool; we saw the two most important ones in a single day. We had a local guide for the first temple and rented a guide for an hour at the second (150k), sharing the cost with another traveler. The tours were very insightful, diving deep into Hinduism and Buddhism – fascinating stuff.

The jeep journey to view the volcano was a bit of a miss due to the clouds. I think I would've preferred hiking instead. Overall, Tomo made our trip both enjoyable and informative. He's an excellent ambassador for Indonesian culture. Highly recommend him to travelers looking for an insightful, pleasant experience.

My friend and I took 2 tours with Tinton. He speaks very good English, is 100% reliable and trustworthy. He does not only know all the visited spots very well, he is very interested in history and traveling himself and will happily share with you a lot about Indonesia’s history, culture and way of life. He has a nice SUV and drives safely. Everything was very well organized and structured. And fun :) would go anytime on a tour with him again and recommend him to everyone visiting the area. We arranged everything very easily via WhatsApp and phone, just text him +62 811278115.

Just came back from this fantastic tour!
I choose 1day tour to visit Prambanan and Borobudur (including climbing up tickets)
Totally worthy!!! It’s mandatory to book climbing up tickets in advance in high season, access is limited and there is a lot of tourists
Tony, our driver was very friendly and helpful! Recommended at all

We searched through many options for seeing the Temples near Yogyakarta, and are very satisfied with our experience with Borobudur Sunrise - Pras was a very friendly and accommodating driver, and we had a wonderful, very informative time with Jono, the Prambanan tour guide they arranged for us.

This was a fantastic option for a customised, private tour (2 couples). The price was very reasonable, given that it included the temple entrance fees and the Jeep tour of Merapi. It was wonderful to not have to worry about arranging tickets and scheduling, and they were very accommodating when it came to changing or extending our schedule.

Retrospectively, perhaps we would have done a different Merapi tour (which I’m sure they could have arranged), perhaps with the river off-road driving instead of the Alien Rock (which we didn’t really find exciting). However the Jeep tour was very fun in and of itself.

Overall, there are endless options for exploring Yogyakarta, and this is definitely a solid option for a customised day tour. We had a wonderful day :)
