Great trip. Easy hike and lots of great views. Good local food. Learned a lot about Trinidad. Great tour guide. Would do it again.

Our tour guide was the Absolute best! He had extensive knowledge of the island. He was pleasant and patient and very well spoken. I would highly recommend this tour.

Honestly, aside from the last portion of the drive, this was a great trip. You start off with a talk from Theo where he gives you all of this information on the hummingbirds, and the history of our ancestors. All the while, these little jewels are buzzing around. You then walk around their lovely garden seeing the various Hummies and beautiful flowers, followed by some light refreshments and a movie on the birds.

It was an awesome experience. The walk was long, but the waterfall was worth it. Our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable.

We booked this tour but we were taken to Las Cuevas beach instead of Matura. The experience itself was amazing and highly recommended, but this tour is basically an expensive taxi ride. We paid a total of 380 USD for the tour and almost all of this went to the driver. To organize the same from our hotel in Port of Spain would be about half that cost. It turned out that the tour guides were working on a voluntary basis and did not get paid. Only a symbolic fee was paid to the guides for the coverage of expenses with running the tours. You are better of with contacting this organization directly and organize transport from your hotel for a better experience. Las Cuevas Eco Friendly Association Tours

A truly amazing experience, one that I will never forget. The entire trip from start to finish was just fantastic. We were picked up by our driver Mr Nic who provided us with excellent titbits of information on our journey to the little sanctuary in the hills. We were then greeted by Gloria and provided with light refreshments and the opportunity to stroll through the beautiful garden to see and photograph the numerous stunning hummingbirds. Then we met Theo whose knowledge, expertise and passion for the hummingbirds was intoxicating. I felt honoured to be in his company as he shared his information and experiences. Words cannot describe the beauty of these enchanting hummingbirds. Absolutely breathtaking. This was followed by a delightful lunch prepared by Gloria which was mouthwatering. So so good !! Another stroll in the garden for more photos and videos followed by an information video with stunning photography taken by Theo. Some of these are available to purchase in the gift shop. Mr Nic then brought us back to our hotel and on the way guided us around some of the sights of Port of Spain and helped us to purchase some fresh local produce. A thoroughly excellent experience from start to finish. Don’t hesitate to book you won’t regret it.

"Sweet Nick" was the best guide. Nick arrived at our hotel early and was waiting for us in the lobby. Nick showed us the sites in Port of Spain and provided us with a lot of history. In addition to provided historical facts Nick also shared stories of his life growing up in Trinidad. We went into the hills and stopped at a roadside stand to sample some local delights. Nick explained what we were sampling and I was able to pick up some sauces and items to bring back to the states with me. Our next stop was the infamous Maracas Bay which was breath taking and Nick took us to a spot to try Bake and Shark which was outstanding. Nick then took us to La Vige Paramin which was a look out point high up on a hill. The hill getting up there was steep but Nick was an expert driver and got us up the hill without a problem. The view was absolutely amazing. This was our first time inTrinidad and our first day and with Nick's expert assistance we fell in love with Trinidad. We will be back and will be looking to tour with "Sweet Nick"

First let me give the highest compliments to the tour guide, Super Nick!! He is so amazing! Very professional, courteous , and knowledgeable. He provided a lot of information about the island and its history which I enjoyed very much! The food stops were awesome with some very delicious eats at each place. My favorites were all of them!! I had pigs tails soup, doubles, boneless chicken roti, and Guinness ice cream. Yes, that’s correct, Guinness ice cream!!! We finished the evening off with a visit to the Hadco Phase II Pan Groove yard and they sounded SWEET!!! I highly recommend this tour to all! You will not be disappointed.

When we arrived our name wasn’t on anyone’s list and no WiFi made it impossible to pull up the voucher. We left and went to McDonalds to use their WiFi. Upon returning we were told that someone was called to confirm our tour after we left. We saw a few snakes, an anteater & different species of birds. The cost was too expensive for this experience. We received a small bag of chips with nothing to drink. I was disappointed.

The views were amazingggg. Ive never felt so relaxed on a body of water. i was so shocked to see how big the swamp really is. Would recommend to any nature lover.

Enjoyable and informative experience, the importance and beauty of the 19 species were explained with great clarity.

We used Sensational Tours for 4 days of different birding tours on Trinidad. Nick was great. Nick and I set up the itinerary before we arrived in Port of Spain. Nick answered my email quickly when I had questions. Nick was our guide and driver. He was friendly and on time. He introduces us to Doubles!!! The Asa Wright is a wonderful tour. Great place to see lots of birds. I would use Nick at Sensational tours again when we return to T & T in the future. Thanks Nick!!!

We took a glass bottom boat ride and snorkel trip to Buccoo Reef Jan 2024. My husband and I have snorkeled in the Red Sea, Belize, Cook Islands and Roatan. We were shocked to see the coral along Buccoo Reef was gray and white. It was dead or dying. There was hardly any fish to be seen. We used Captain Phillips tours to go see the reef. Not their fault the reef is dead or dying. Global warming is no joke. It maybe to late for this reef.

Stunning experience watching and listening to hundreds of hummingbirds in the company of Theo who was passionate and knowledgeable about them. Seeing the hummingbirds at close quarters was mesmerising. Nick from Sensational Tours was a great guide telling us about the history of the island. Would highly recommend this tour.
