We had an incredible time kitesurfing in the Cayman Islands thanks to this amazing team! Will (Wilder) and Miguel are exceptional instructors—so knowledgeable, patient, and fun. They made learning easy and enjoyable for all skill levels. Even the shuttle ride with the owner, John, and his kids was a highlight of the trip—it felt like being part of a family adventure. We loved our experience so much that we immediately booked a second day. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to improve your skills, this is the place to go. Highly recommend—five stars all the way!

Overall excellent experience with good wind during visit. Would highly recommend watching some basic youtube videos if you are total beginner. Great shallow sandy area to learn, excellent equipment with helmets that have microphones so instructors can talk to you even 300 meters away. It wa me and my 2 sons that are 11 and 13 who have done some kiting before. Of note below this age it is likely difficult to have adequate kite control with proper body weight to kite independently etc. I had lessons specifically with Doug who was fantastic with patience for all skill levels and good explanation. Natasha who set up lessons and often gives transportation to the national park /lessons was very personable and responsive in regards to setting up times of lessons with availability. They truly have everything you need equipment wise for almost all shapes and sizes. They will also work with you to mix match if have certain stuff you bring. Read a little before you go about ideal wind and time of year. Can’t expect to show up in july with perfect wind. Jhon who was owner has good understanding and wisdom of whole island and very professional. I will definitely be back to this spot!

Everything about Kitesurf Cayman is perfect. The location - secluded Barkers beach is beautiful and windy - steady 20-25 knots the entire week I took lessons. The water is warm and so blue. You see the reef out in the distance and then a deeper blue beyond. It is a cool spot of paradise. Pedro is an outstanding instructor! He is experienced, patient, encouraging and conscientious. Natasha, who runs operations, was very helpful. Doug, an instructor, provided tips and shared his passion for this great sport. I keep thinking about it and can’t wait to go back.

Relaxation...... Stayed near Rum Point at Iggy Blue. Wonderful house. Beaches we're beautiful and inviting. Be prepared for whatever reason their dollar is stronger than ours. Definitely not an accurate reflection of their economy or ours. Private fishing was super. Captain Herman was just as advertised. Snorkeling was great. Sharkeez had the best burger I had. Conch is delicious. Over the edge is great.

I’m new to kiteboarding so I was bit uneasy regarding the narrowish beach and the remoteness of Barkers—based on my online information grab. So I didn’t bring my gear as I was uncertain that conditions would be good, etc. I contacted Kiteboard Cayman when I arrived and I ended up doing two days of 2- hour lessons. The water was shallow and flat. The instruction setup (radio helmets) was great. I was able to stay upwind consistently for the first time. I had a rental car malfunction on one of my days and they came to my hotel and picked me up. Awesome and greatly appreciated service. The only negative—for less experienced kiter—is that there were only one or two other kiters at Barkers which would make it tough to land launch on your own without the school’s help. I was there end of April and maybe it’s busier at other times. The site is a bit remote and you will only be there when you think you have gone too far. And if you use GPS you won’t get there. My only suggestion would be to add a board with a Go-Jo attached so beginners like me don’t waste valuable (and expensive) lesson time trying to retrieve the board. The staff was great and all the instructors were competent. My instructor—Miguel—was patient, instructive and an awesome kiter. Overall, 1st rate experience! Mike

We visited Grand Cayman primarily to dive, but we wanted to try at least one other activity. We decided to try kitesurfing on Day 1 so we could ‘play it by ear’ the rest of the week. Ours was a father-son trip- me late 50s, him late 20s. We had NO prior experience, but are reasonably fit and active. We booked simultaneous 2-hour private lessons. Jhon was great with booking and communication. We modified our start time to get the best wind conditions and planned around our dive itinerary. Will and Pedro were great instructors- enthusiastic and encouraging. The location is amazing! A national park beach. When we arrived we were the ONLY people visible for mikes in either direction. This is NOT a cruise ship excursion factory swarming with grumpy people in a hurry. This was an awesome, remote 1-on-1 experience. We arrived by rental car. DO NOT trust your GPS. DO get your directions from Jhon! By the end of Day 1 we were both getting up on the board and able to traverse downwind in both directions. We were so pumped we booked a second day with the same instructors. If you enjoy outdoor sports, if you are comfortable in the water, if you’re reasonably fit, and you want to have a TON of fun, go Kitesurfing with Kitesurf Cayman!!

Onshore wind, standing conditions for several meters offshore, outstanding instructors, leads to an exceptional environment for both beginners and advanced kiters. Although I have been kiting for 8 years, I learned several new tips from Jhon (the owner) and Will. The personal attention was amazing and I would highly recommend Kitesurf Cayman. I look forward to the opening of Vida in the spring of 2023. Should be an excellent opportunity for exceptional lodging, kiting, as well as additional Cayman experiences.

Way overdue! I was there in March and I loved everything about this school/rental facility! The spot is fantastic, the owner of the business is very personable, low key and gives great advice. The equipment was excellent, and while I was there I saw 2 students get up and go in two lessons! Pretty impressive if you ask me! One was a young woman and the other one was a middle age man. The instructors are great and pay attention to what is going on around! In fact at one point I got separated from my board and as i was trying to reach it, one of the instructor brought it back to me before I got there. Prices are very good and the locals are very friendly. When and if I come back, I will definitely spend a lot of time there! Also the owner gave the advice to bring my kite and harness next time, this way I only have to rent the board!

My son, husband, and I took private kitesurfing lessons from Kitesurf Cayman on the 2nd week of March 2020. It was a fantastic experience. Jhon (the owner) was very responsive, and coordinated and arranged our lessons before we arrived at Cayman. He is also an excellent instructor. Both Will and Jhon taught my husband who was a very good windsurfer for over 30 years. Now he has become a kiteboarder and was very happy to get IKO certification at the end of our trip. My son took lesson from Aryen and also got IKO certified after two classes. He had taken a couple of classes in Maui last year and he excelled fast this time and kitesurf beautifully. I took lessons from Aryen and Pedro and enjoyed to work with them very much. All of the instructors: Aryen, Will, Pedro, and John (also the owner) are excellent. They are very competent, kind, encouraging, patient, friendly, and passionate about their teaching. When we made progress, they cheered for us as they were taking the lessons. I can't say enough good thing about the whole team. The beach is one of the best kitesurfing beaches: clear, warm, and shallow water with the wind blowed everyday when we were there. We will come back again and bring new kitesurfing students next year :-) Thank you, Jhon, Aryen, Will, and Pedro. We hope to see you again next year.

Took my teenage daughter for her first lesson and a private lesson for myself. Pedro was very attentive helpful. Jhon was very responsive and helped me schedule a second lesson. I progressed quite a bit compared to other lessons and became an upwind rider! My daughter got to try her first water starts after a single lesson, with is MUCH faster than other places I have been. Location was FANTASTIC for learning. On shore winds and waist deep water. Can’t wait to return!

My kids (20 and 22) both took introductory lessons, and my son came back twice more. By the end of it, he was able to ride independently and is a new convert to the sport. Jhon and his team were helpful, flexible, and just plain nice people. This is the perfect place to learn to kite board!

Great experience working with Jhon on an advanced hydrofoil lesson. This setup can not be beat for learning to kite or progression on advanced maneuvers. Professional staff, great equipment, support boat, you get what you pay for. After one hour of working with Jhon I was able to complete foil tacks- a maneuver that had eluded me all season. The ground school, combined with on water support the the radio helmet made all of the difference. Great value for the hydrofoil rider looking to progress. Thanks again Jhon and team!

My experience couldn’t have been better. Will is a fantastic teacher. He is very upbeat and encouraging. Jhon was ever present with a watchful eye. The helmets with radios were incredibly useful. I always felt safe. Thank you Kitesurf Cayman! I’ll be back!!!

What a great operation! I can now kiteboard! Have been waiting for years to say that and am super pumped that I can now go on vacation and rent gear instead of taking lessons. Wil is awesome as well as the other coaches. The water was perfect to learn in and I never felt unsafe. They put in the time and care to make sure I was comfortable. This was my first attempt at kitesurfing and Luis did a great job! He walked through everything step by step and did explained things really well. Can’t wait to go back again!
