Shore Excursion: Private Sightseeing Tour of St Maarten
From USD 432.00
Overview
Explore St. Maarten without the hassle of planning on a private tour with convenient, round-trip transport from Philipsburg ports. In addition to navigating, your guide provides little-known facts and anecdotes about St. Maarten’s history and culture. To ensure your comfort and a personal experience, the day’s itinerary is customized to your interests, with stops ranging from a secluded beach to shopping in Marigot.
What to Expect

Your well-informed guides will take you on an adventure of a lifetime. Your tour starts at the cruise terminal and you will be driven to an exotic iguana site where you get to feed these cute little reptiles. A stop at the French and Dutch border gives you a quick lesson in French and Dutch culture and St. Maarten's rich heritage. After basking in St. Martin/St. Maarten’s history, it’s time for some sun and sand.

You can choose between beach time or taking the ferry to Pineal Island ($12 ferry cost not included). After you’ve sunbathed and swam for a while, you will be escorted to the French capital, Marigot, to an open market. This is where you get to sample some of the tastiest cuisines on the planet. Tummies full and hearts glad, you can either head out to plane gaze on Maho Beach or head to another beach. Don't forget to be prepared to be amazed! Then to Harold Jack Hill, which overlooks Great Bay for some more sightseeing and photography moments. The fun is not over yet. You'll head next to Philipsburg, the Dutch side of St. Maarten, to do a little shopping. Eventually you will be returned back to your cruise ship.

We'd do it again!

We toured the island with "Mailman" as our guide. Highly recommended by a couple we met on our cruise. Excellent, informative, and laid back. Details, history, current events with no sense of rushing anyone.

We booked a private tour for our family of 10 during a St Maarten shore excursion on our recent cruise. Jackson (aka Action Jackson) was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the island. We got to see some of the French and Dutch sides of the island,...More
