The trainer of the class was very good and the location was beautiful. Would not recommend for younger kids (10 & under). There are no life vests available. Also, the water can get really rough which can be intimidating for new surfers no matter the age.

They are not doing lessons in Rincon. Drove all the way over their from San Juan because we were informed it was the place to go. Traffic horrible, no lessons and maybe great winter surfing but not as kid friendly as suggested for beginners. Local set up did help us fulfill an experience which was appreciated and the actual companybis trying to resolve the issue.

Peru for Less was the best travel agency experience I’ve ever had. The planning down to every detail and the communication were top notch. We mentioned the cities we wanted to visit and of course Machu Picchu and Adrienne recommended some additional activities. The service during our trip was impeccable with private drivers and guides in the vehicle, 24/7 emergency line with quick response for assistance and excellent tour guides for our experiences.

Peru for Less did an excellent job on our custom 20 day tour of Peru. Even with all the different tours and activities, there was always a Peru for Less representative waiting to start us on our next adventure.

Rey was an awesome guide. Down to earth and very patient. My girlfriend and I both managed to ride a few waves which that experience alone made it well worth the money.

Lesson never happened. Provider never contacted me and wouldn’t return my call when i left a voice mail. Hopefully my money gets refunded.

Ray was super fun and informative, we all got the hang of surfing. We got to surf on our own for like an hour and even though the waves weren’t big, we had a great time!

Ángel was a fantastic instructor. He was very specific with the instructions,very helpful, and very supportive. He would explain the mistakes and give you tips to improve in a helpful matter. It was a very fun experience, overall a great time, and I would recommend trying this experience with Ángel.

The ad falsely states that no swimming experience is necessary. This was the sole reason we chose this company, as my sister in law can’t swim. However, Victoria, our instructor said that was not the case and swimming was very much necessary. I have contacted the owner to let him know that his ad is false and have requested a refun. Have not yet received it.

We came on a clear and beautiful day, the waves were perfect for learning, and the guide (although I don’t remember his name) was super awesome. He explained things thoroughly, and was there to guide and help us catch waves. It was an even better experience than I could have anticipated! I highly recommend Waterworld Surfing School at the Marriott.

Angel was amazing and it was such a fun experience! He clearly knew what he was talking about and we were catching waves the first day! Super great experience from a local ! Would recommend

Lots of instructors in the water keeping everyone safe and moving the group back together as people drifted off or the tide changed to make certain parts of the coast have deeper water. Good instructions and tips from instructors all of whom were very friendly. In front of a hotel with lots of beach chairs for members of family not doing the lessons. I had a great time as a beginner and managed to stand up in time to ride the end of a few waves. This is not lil kiddy waves but actual ones so it can be hard getting the board and urself far out enough to have enough time to stand while you surf back but instructors help you through it at least in the beginning while you are learning. If you are short or don’t know how to swim I dont recommend this because after a certain point u have to be the one to walk/swim ur board out to a point where you can surf back in and the water (at least when I went ) was 5 foot normal and up to 8 or so with waves

Sorry, the guy was super nice and deserved kudos for repeatedly pulling the kids out past the white water break, but I should have known to do more research. The surf lesson was booked not in the morning, but mid day. There was not much dry land instruction and not water safety mentions. It was a red flag day. Boards are short, lightweight foam boards. Kids have surfed before but this day was a mess. At a certain point we asked if the instructor could demonstrate catching a wave, and he could not. Please do your research on where the best surf is in PR and go there if you want to be serious about surfing. For this location perhaps it’s best to stick with boogie boarding and don’t waste $100+ for a lesson.

Angel was such a fabulous instructor! Especially for this wannabe surfer family. He took his time with us on the sand before tossing us to the waves. Ha! He kept an eye on the water conditions to make sure we had skill level appropriate waves. Mom and Dad gave it our all but eventually relented to the peaceful sand but Angel stayed out in the surf with our determined teenage daughter for over an hour until she caught a few perfect waves. She's hooked now! Thank you, Angel for going above and beyond to give us an incredible experience.
