  • See more of the island in less time—easily fit this tour into your schedule
  • Choose from multiple departure locations to suit your needs
  • Round-trip transport included with this Luminous Lagoon night cruise
What to Expect
Start your tour with pickup at your hotel in Negril, Ocho Rios, or Montego Bay and an evening ride to Trelawny Parish on Jamaica’s north coast. On arrival in Trelawny, take a boat ride on the Luminous Lagoon, a bioluminescent lagoon that’s home to millions of harmless microorganisms. One of just a handful of bioluminescent lagoons in the world, Jamaica’s Luminous Lagoon is said to be the largest and most brilliant. Cruise to the center of the lagoon and sip on a rum punch, as your guide explains why these microorganisms, called dinoflagellates, thrive in the lagoon’s warm, shallow waters. See how they give off an eerie blue-green light when the water is disturbed and then jump into the lagoon and swim around in its iridescent glow. After you experience all the magic of this natural wonder, hop back in the coach and end your tour with hotel drop-off.

Indeed best to keep swimming as the sand does feel wierd. It is because its a lagoon and its a mixture of fresh and salt water and river sand and sea sand. Feels squishy under the feet but nothing there to hurt anyone. Glad that...More

This was different than anything I’ve ever experienced. Amazing! Tour not as long as we expected but still well worth it. We or take bug spray if you go. Mosquitos are bad there.

For lack of not much to do, we choose the lagoon. Fun group, intergetic young jamaicans running the night cruise. Made for a fun night, I used a life jacket. Some did not. Took it for granted all could swim? And it's dark! The lumoniois...More
