Had a terrible experience with divers at choice. We rented a boat for Fuikdag in January, this amazing event only accessible by water. It’s very popular, a real Curaçao highlight! We desired to book the boat they offers for Fuikdag early (October) because we didn’t want to miss it! We payed 1800,00€ in advance, which is common for renting boats that day. Fuikdag itself was a disaster. The boat got checked for its papers and they were not there. It took hours, and nobody communicated with us about what was happening. The papers were supposedly at the office so the captain drove to the office (nearly took him 2 hours all together) and when he came back he said they’d been robbed of all the papers in December (he suddenly remembered???). They even already filed a report for theft in December as well, and wanted to try using this report to negotiate with the coastguard which obviously did not work. All that told me is that they were aware of the missing and obligated papers, and lied and stalled the proces all that time. After 4 hours of being kept on a leash we decided to make other plans. We told them we would borrow the jux and bbq which was fine by the owner (we had him on the telephone, he was in the Netherlands). He also ensued us we would get our money back. Well well well.. now the drama begins. Lies after lies we got told about the payment days, they kept postponing them and when we got serieus about business- Miss Esteli took over communication and said she’s withholding 250 guilders for the ‘rent of the jux and bbq’ which we borrowed. Also she tried to let us pay several bank costs which was out of place, and on top of that she threatened with not paying at all anymore if we didn’t stay nice and polite. The woman is a madhouse, the whole company is a fraude.

My partner and I were so happy we ended up going with Allen at Divers Choice. We did 2-3 dives a day with Allen for our entire trip. He took us where ever we wanted to go and catered to all of our requests. He spoiled us rotten, cleaning all of our equipment and setting everything up every day. We cannot wait to go back and would not dive anywhere else.

Alan Boot (Owner) called me the nite before the dive to make sure I was still going and where to pick me up. I inquired about 4 other possible divers with no equipment and and said he would take them and provide equipment at a reasonable price (They decided not to go) so I had the whole boat to myself. His wife is professional diver with 15K dives under her belt and took me on two private/great dives. I'm sure they didnt make much money on just me but were professional and courteous. I would use them again

Alan is wonderful! Made sure we had everything to go out on our own. My husband dove with Alan and said it was a very relaxing fun dive. Highly recommend

I was sexually assaulted during my dive on 7/7/23 by Alan of at divers choice curaçao. Do not dive with this Dive Shop!!! I was on a solo dive trip in a foreign country and had to make a dive plan with a dive shop to have a buddy on my dives. When I was scheduling the dives the owner made it seem like there would be a group of people included on the dive, but when I showed up it was just me and the dive shop owner/dive master. He drove us 30 min to a shore dive site. On the ride he would make inappropriate comments in conversation but I let it slide thinking maybe it was a language barrier and context was getting confused . Then we went for our dive. At 80ft he started grabbing my legs and touching my butt and lower stomach. I would swim away and he would just pull me back to him. He continued to grope me and was sticking his hands up into my swim suit bottoms. I was terrified, here I was 80 ft under water with a man twice my size. I did not want to aggressively react and then have him retaliate under water. I have never felt more in fear of my wellbeing and life than I did for those 60min under water. I tried to burn my air as fast as I could and push him into the coral to try to scrape him off me. Once surfaced he told me “he really enjoyed me” and he was sorry “I just turned him on”. At this point I still had a 30 min car ride back to his dive shop and my car alone with this man. I just kept my head down and kept the peace until I could get away from him. I have reported him to the local authorities and to PADI.

We spent a month living just around the corner from At Divers Choice Curacao, and dove nearly every day. The close location plus the shop's very flexible hours made it an ideal place for us to pick up tanks at a very affordable price. Owner Alan also provided a wealth of information on dive sites and other tidbits about the island. In addition to lots of shore diving, we did several very enjoyable boat dives with Alan and his crew, some near East Point and others all the way at the other end of the island at Watamula. Dive master Benito is a masterful lionfish hunter, and collected nearly every fish that we spotted for him! We also had family visit for a week, including two certified divers and one who earned her Open Water certification during her visit. She spoke highly of Alan's teaching skills, and was excited to be able to dive with the rest of the family by the end of the week. All the rental gear provided by ADCC was new and in good condition, which made for a great experience for everyone.

Loved it! My husband and I were on a cruise ship and went out with owner Alan and DM Benito. It was such a special, personalized experience, and proved once again that Curaçao is my favorite of the ABC islands (I’ve dived all previously and did again this cruise). Driver Peter met us at the cruise ship port and took us to the dive boat; the boat ride out was beautiful… saw some of the most scenic landscapes in Curaçao above the water (and below too!) The east side walls were amazing, the most beautiful corals in the western hemisphere. Cannot say enough great things about this company - dive with them if you are in Curaçao!

I did the discover scuba class. Alan, the owner, was great! He went through the material, I took a quiz and then we went for a dive. He was so calm and patient throughout the entire process, which is important when you're trying a new activity. He was great at pointing out cool corals and fish when we were diving. He also checked my monitors consistently and really made me feel safe. I had such a great time I booked a second dive with them later in my trip and had another outstanding experience.

I arrived on March 7 to Curacao via a cruise ship. I had contacted Divers Choice about 2 weeks before and booked a 2 tank boat dive with them. Booking was an easy process and communication in general was very good thru the entire dive experience. They had indicated they would meet me at 7:30 am at the cruise ship pier, and at 7:30 on the dot Esteli (owner) was there to pick me up and transported me to the marina which is located just East of Williamstad. There I met Alan (the captain/owner) and Benito (dive guide). As it turned out, I was the only diver scheduled that day. Esteli indicated they have a "no cancellation" policy in situations like this, which I really appreciated as I was on Curacao for just the one day and having to re-schedule a dive would have been problematic at best. Alan was a great captain and full of information about the island and the reef. Since I was the only diver that day Benito the dive guide planned on doing some Lionfish hunting during our dives, for which I was excited. Although Benito spoke as much English as I spoke Spanish we got along great, underwater we were able to communicate fine. We did 2 drift dives. Benito was a great guide showing me the reef, the loads of fish and other animals including an Eagle Ray and numerous turtles, and in the process spearing 10 Lionfish! The reef around Curacao and Bonaire are some of the healthier reefs I've seen in the Caribbean based upon the shear number of fish. We did our surface interval at a small secluded bay with a nice sandy beach. We had the beach to ourselves and there was just one sailboat anchored in the bay. One of the most idyllic locations for a surface interval I've ever had. To top off a great day when we got back to the marina I asked Alan if they sold the Lionfish Hunter rash guards that Benito was wearing. He said they were brand new and on order so he didn't have any in the shop. Benito proceeded to literally give me the shirt off his back so that I could have one. Talk about customer service! Would highly recommend you look them up if you want to dive in Curacao.

We took two day trips with Divers Choice (Alan & Benito) in January this year. Both trips were customized for our group to enjoy. We enjoyed the first day so much that we booked another outing when our friends arrived later the same week. We were picked up at Daaibooi Beach at 8:30. Alan, with his unique sense of humour, shared his knowledge of the sea, the geology and the history of the island. Several great snorkelling spots and beach in the morning. Lunch on-board Day 1 was Lion Fish ceviche appetizer followed by BBQ lobster and beef tenderloin. Simply AMAZING. Benito is not only a dive-master but also a chef! A couple more snorkelling stops on the way back to Daaibooi by 3:00. Alan and Benito were the quintessential hosts! We had great snorkelling spots, great food and drinks and best of all great conversation!! The Blue Room is a must snorkel! On our second trip, we were even able to arrange to have a dive while the others on the boat were snorkelling. We went with Benito along the reef, which was beautiful, and watched in awe as he hunted Lion Fish. The Lion Fish were later made into fish ceviche appetizer followed by beef tenderloin BBQed on board for lunch - absolutely delicious! Highlights of Day2 were spotting a huge sea turtle and a whale shark (7+ metres) on our return. Tremendous day, tremendous company - we definitely recommend and will look forward to another trip with Alan and Benito the next time we visit Curacao!

The dive was amazing. Clean boat, nice layout and a short sail to our diving area. Alan was great pointing out things in the reef and we saw some beautiful coral and even a large sea turtle resting on the bottom. The two tank dive was perfect and I will definitely be diving with them again when I return

I just did two days of shore diving and one day of 2 tanks boat dives. For the shore dives Benito picked me up at the resort each day. We dove sites from the Westpoint to near the cruise ship terminal. Benito also gave me a little tour of several of the beaches in the area. Benito’s English was a little broken but he was a wiz with a translator app. I had asked for easy shore entry sites and Benito provided them. Air fills were a solid 3000 psi. Although Benito guided the dives he let me set the pace and the depth. For the boat dives we went to the East Point. Dive sites were pristine and we were the only dive boat there. Alan captained the boat and followed us as we drifted along the wall. There was one other diver on the boat and a separate divemaster was provided for her since she was staying shallower. The boat could have handled 8 to 10 divers but there were only the two guests and two dive masters.

Not much of a safety briefing. Beautiful location to dive with a gorgeous reef. Would like to have more information on the area provided by the guides
