You’ll learn about the culture, traditions and everyday life of the islanders, focusing on a traditional way of life that has survived throughout the centuries.
Finally, you’ll learn about the arts and crafts of Rhodes with a visit to a traditional pottery workshop. Here, the master potter will give a pottery demonstration and explain the classic motifs that adorn Greek ceramics. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of why Greek pottery is famed around the world.

She tailored the tour to our needs, as one of our family has mobility problems. We ended up at the wine tasting in the old town at Romeos, which was so good, Micheal had great knowledge of the wines we were served, all very good, we had tapas with each wine. We totally recommend this tour, it was excellent and worth every penny, a fabulous way to spend an afternoon in the wonderful old town of Rhodes.Written 12 July 2024

- AmyR105380 contributionsWonderful walking tour of Old Town Jewish Quarter andMy husband and I signed up for a tour of the Old Town Jewish Quarter including the synagogue and attached museum. Our guide, Mariana, was fantastic!! She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Jewish community of Rhodes and showed us things we would never have found on our own. Mariana is a mature, thoughtful person who was very easy to spend time with. In addition, she generously took us to see the Christian quarter which allowed us to learn even more about this beautifully preserved area of Rhodes. We thoroughly enjoyed our Viator tour with Mariana and would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning about Old Town Jewish Quarter history.Written 3 October 2023
- Clive L0 contributionsA learning experienceWe were gifted the wine tasting by my daughter at Christmas. Although we do drink wine we shop in Aldi, and get the same every week. So we didn’t know what to expect from a wine tasting evening. However, we were pleasantly surprised. We were fascinated by some of the methods of wine making. Especially the wine that is matured under the sea. We learned about the history of Greek wine making and how much of the technique had been lost, but is slowly being regained. My wife explained that she only drank wine with Lemonade. Our host was shocked and said they didn’t have any Lemonade on Rhodes island😀. We were surprised on how much the flavour of the wine and food changed between the different types of wine. All together a wonderful experience we thoroughly enjoyed. We would recommend this for beginners and experienced wine goers.Written 27 September 2023

I wanted to know as much as possible about the old city since my grandparents were born and lived there until moving to the US in the early 1920s. Our tour was made more cumbersome since grandchildren would have rather been at the pool at our hotel. Our guide was very patient. Overall, a wonderful experience.Written 15 March 2023

Out of season we wanted to have a wine tasting experience and they made it happen. We had a private tasting in the city in a most beautiful private villa. - Matty M0 contributionsRhodes - The Jewish AspectWe were a small group of four on this private tour with Nikos. He's a terrific guide and an archeologist as well. Nikos is very knowledgeable about the history of Rhodes and its Jewish community. We learned about the impact of the Shoah on the community and visited the synagogue and saw where the community had lived. We also visited the Grand Master's Palace which is an eclectic rebuilt palace with amazing artifacts brought there from neighboring islands. I highly recommend this tour and Nikos. Daffy of MBC/Rhodes Experience was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and flexible as he designed a tour that met our group's unique needs. He then provide us with a great driver (Yannis) and an absolutely fantastic tour guide (Sifi). Sifi got to know our group's needs and, with great flexibility and expertise, adapted the planned itinerary to meet our needs. She has tremendous knowledge of Rhodes, its history and culture and imparted that knowledge to us in a clear and entertaining manner.Written 12 September 2022

We were so impressed with the knowledge and charming personality of our guide. She was accommodating and fun to be with and had many great suggestions for us. We highly recommend this tour which we adapted to our own interests and they were always so accommodating
