    Miles from No Where
We bought the Osaka Amazing Pass and this attraction was one of the available things to do. The view was quite good but nothing exciting and I wouldn't recommend paying normal fees.

a MUST-HAVE for travelers in Oasaka
Offering the best experience in Osaka in a very affordable price! The prices of the attractions that we went exceedingly payoff the amount we pay for the Osaka pass. I believe that this pass is a MUST to a traveler like me in Osaka. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great price for JR West 5 day pass
We purchased a couple of JR West 5 day rail passes before leaving the UK. With careful planning we managed to use JR West trains every day, I purposely booked a hotel 5 minutes walk from Shin-Osaka station to fully utilise the Shinkansen trains. We would have had to pay a little over £500 pounds if we hadn't have brought the passes which cost £180. We picked them from the travel office in Shin-Osaka and at the same time booked reserved seats on 4 return journeys, it was super easy to do. Make sure you have the same credit card you paid for them with and it must have your card number and name printed or embossed on them, so no Chase cards or the like, and of course your passport with immigration stamp so don't use an e-gate. As the name implies you can only use Shinkansen going west from Osaka but you can use all Shinkansen trains including Superspeed Nozomi. You can travel East like we did using a rapid express to Hikone and beyond. And of course you can use it on tourist site seeing buses in Hiroshima and certain ferries. You need to put your reserved seat train ticket along with your JR West pass into the barrier together and you'll get both back you have to do the same at the end of your journey but you'll only get your pass back. The JR pass that covers the whole of Japan has nearly doubled in price so be careful as it maybe cheaper to just pay full price for the trains. The JR West pass price increase was very reasonable and you can reserve seats as many times as you like it used to be restricted to 6 times. Final note it's easier and quicker to use the travel office to reserve seats than queue for a machine and wade your way through the steps on a machine.

Not worth your money or time
Expensive tickets, boring route (red). Extremely bad sound quality in the provided headphones. Mixed with distorted music, it made me cut off the recorded guiding.

Book online in advance for the best fare
We booked this online before we left for Japan, and got the reduced fare for non-Japanese passport holders. It was well worth it. The confirmation was received instantly and we just had to scan the QR code on the voucher at the ticket machine on arrival to choose our train and seats. There was no extra charge. A comfortable 50 minute trip to Shin Osaka. The trains seem to have a Hello Kitty theme.

    Fun and fascinating!
The Hato tour brought Tokyo and Japan history into clear view for us in a fun way as our guide explained in clear English what we saw and visited: castles; moats; parks; monuments; temples; and the spectacular views from the Tokyo tower. We were given plenty of time at the major sights to explore , shop or snack, and/or photograph.

    My kids love it
Nice experience for both adults and kids. We stayed at the observation deck for about 1.5 hours. The Ropeway is pleasant.

Arki the best tour guide ever!
The one day trip is an amazing way to see Tokyo. The tour covered all the highlights. Miss Aki our tour guide was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! She sang, played the recorder and had the most amazing insights!

    Certainly not Romantic
This is a reserved seats only train – similar to aircraft seats but far more comfortable and has limited stops – described as winding through seasonal changing country side is however not correct – after leaving Tokyo central the train travelled through the suburbs for most of the journey passing through one forested cutting and the last 15 minutes of an 90 minute trip through rice fields - we used our Hakone Free Pass with a surcharge of yen 1200 pp for the upgrade – mixed feeling here as we travelled back on the regular limited stops express which seemed to stop at every station on very uncomfortable sideways seating and which soon became standing room only.

    Umeda sky building experience
Another Japanese marvel of engineering. Especially when you you see how they built it, there’s videos and pictures when you go in. The views are spectacular from the top and the escalator up to the top level is a bit scary. It’s not that expensive so I recommend a visit.

Most boring museum in the world
This was the least interesting museum we have ever visited in the world. Really bad. Far from the centre. We expected high technology but it was just too boring for adults.

    Nice technology museum.
We had a pleasant afternoon at this museum. Located in a less populated part of town and within easy walking from the train station. Very good English explanations. Goid for teenagers too.

    Beautiful!
Beautiful. Went in winter. Lots of snow so the kids made snow angels. Beautiful sight of the town. Rope way and mini tram were so fun and peaceful.
