Amazing Sumo Experience with Delicious Lunch
This was an amazing experience and my family had an amazing time. We learned a great deal about how Sumo wrestlers train, live, and eat. The lunch was very oishi as well. All thanks to the expert hands of the Makushita Sumo wrestler who prepared our meals. It was so fun to watch the audience participation. Young kids, women, and men stepped up to challenge the wrestler of their choice. You will definitely enjoy this activity so please do not hesitate to check it out.

The experience that made our kids smile!!
This was the best. Authentic. Unique. Memorable. Funny and so fun!! One of our favourite memories of Tokyo. My husband loved it. I loved it. Our kids loved every minute of it, including the delicious food, the educational explanation of the history of sumo, meeting the wrestlers, seeing them fight, learning their moves, the rules, and wrestling them at the end! The wrestlers were so cute and funny and good with the kids. The food was authentic and delicious. The entire activity just felt so Japanese and was so memorable. After we were done, we took a walk around the neighbourhood and it was such a nice experience too. So different from all the regular tourist places we had been visiting, it felt like authentic Tokyo with japanese residents out and about, small neighbourhood stores and food shops, little houses, a school. The sumo experience was the first thing our girls wanted to talk about when others asked them about their trip when we got back to Canada, Everybody who worked at the sumo restaurant was so kind and accommodating. Even the kind ladies who were cleaning the kids feet after they took off their sumo costume. They were so nice and sweet towards the children. We recommend this experience so much!

Located near Senso-ji Temple, this store is a convenient stop for anyone visiting the site. The shop is cozy and welcoming, and the owner is very knowledgeable of his craft. He's an excellent teacher (and for any tourists worried about a language barrier, his English is more than enough to lead the class). It was so much fun to get hands on experience with this traditional craft!

And for those who don't have the interest or time in a class, the shop also has lots of paper products on sale (journals, fans, calligraphy paper, etc) for a reasonable price. Highly recommend a visit!
