Tokyo day tour with Japan Panoramic Tours
We greatly enjoyed this varied introduction tour to Tokyo. We experienced a great deal in one day. Recommend including the lunch option for an authentic experience. Quality and nicely selected restaurant and cruise. Tour Guides Blue and Tsubasa spoke excellent English and led the day with warm spirit and competence. Commentary included lots of informal local insights. Highly recommended to see some key sights & side streets of Tokyo.

A review of the Japan bus tour with Taka Feb. 2024
We were able to take the Panoramic bus tour of Japan with Taka. We saw the Meiji shrine, a buddhist temple, learned how to purify ourselves for both religions. We went the day before the Emperor’s birthday and couldn’t get into the palace. He lives there so we couldn’t get in anyways 😂😂 I think it’s interesting that Japan still has an emperor even though, he does not have political power. I don’t like that if an empresses marries a commoner she is no longer part of the empirical family. But it is an old tradition so it is kind of excepted. Taka made the trip very enjoyable. And I learned all of that from him! Ans more. He was a wonderful guide!!

Amazing tour from Taka. We had so much fun all the activities were perfect. My favourite part was the way he humorously delivered useless information 😂

Itinerary of this trip seems pretty attractive however the every single spot we went only had time to spend around 5-10 minutes to catch next spot. Some places we did not have any time to go bathroom, shopping time, taking photos and enjoying the places. They mentions that the traffic caused the delay but it should be factored in within the itinerary and we did not the effort at all from the beginning. They instructed us to be on the wrong bus and had to switch to a different bus on the way to the Mount Fuji; additionally, we only had lunch time of 20 minutes ish since there was a long line to enter the restaurant when we got there. We waited in line about 15-20 minutes to enter then 20 minutes to eat then given total given time was 50 minutes ish, left is to go wash room, shopping and look around the Japanese garden which is not enough at all.
Would recommend to be in a tour with less itinerary and focus on few spots and join a tour that offers a bullet train to go Mount Fuji and avoid summer time because I have learned only 20% of chance to see Mount Fuji during the summer time anyway due to the weather.

The tour was alright. Our guide Hibiki was great, and funny. We really enjoyed having her as our tour guide - so friendly and good at English! However, we didn’t get to the fifth level so the view of Mont Fuji wasn’t that great and the time we got on each stop was way too little. We only got 20 minutes on each stop which was super stressful and you couldn’t really relax and take it all in. You kind of had to choose; bathroom visit (very long line) or taking pictures/enjoying the view! Very unfortunate.

Once we got to Hakone Shrine with the cruise we were extremely disappointed because we though we were also going to have a chance to take some photos and visit the Hakone Torii gates, but we did not. However, Owakudani and the Hakone robeline was absolutely great!

We got back to Tokyo with Shinkansen which was great, took us only 30 minutes while the bus would’ve taken 2h!

We are sure that the tour would’ve been better and suited us more if we got more time at each spot, gotten to level 5 for mount Fuji and had a chance to see the Torii gates. But overall, the tour was still good and we got to see some beautiful spots!

Although the price seemed expensive at first it was worth every yen. The information was crisp and clear and the tour guides Chris, Jana and Levin were very engaging and forthcoming. Chris and Jana helped us visitors whereever they could and Levin entertained us with his corny jokes.
They also were enjoyable people to talk to, because its very important to connect with the people visiting. Thank you so much and if their bosses read this, I demand a raise for Chris, Jana and Levin as they did their job extraordinary. Arigatou Gozaimasu.

On time when picking up the passenger and when we depart. Although the 5th and 4th station were closed, we went to the 1st station and visited the Fujisan World Heritage Center. The local comfort food tasted really nice and the cruise across Lake Ashi also served a beautiful view of Hakone.
Lastly, our tour guide, Yoshi-san, was really friendly and funny, which made the trip very pleasant.

I would give this tour 2.5 stars and would only recommend if you don’t mind driving a lot. The spots were great to see and we lucked out with gorgeous weather but we were very rushed at every spot due to traffic. I wish there was more time to see each spot. Our guide 4K was very friendly and nice, but at 5th station we rushed to get to the bus at the provided time and she was the only one late to the bus. Some things I would improve include having more time at each spot, allow you to choose your seat on the bus, lunch should be hot (some buffet dishes were cold) and more of the popular buffet dishes (some ran out and some people didn’t get them), turn off the interior lights in the bus when driving at night so you can see the sights, and finally on busy days, just have the return train ticket included in the package and have everyone train back. It was very annoying to have to pay an extra 4000 yen to train back so as not to return to Tokyo at 10pm. Had I not trained back we would have returned at close to 10 pm and spent 10-11 hours sitting on the bus total in the day. However there were some highlights including 4Ks commentary, riding the cable car, taking the boat, and the beautiful view during lunch. Overall, I don’t think it was quite worth the price. Had the train ticket been included, I would likely give this tour 4 stars but the value for the price just wasn’t quite there.

This was an amazing day which packed so much in but was thoroughly enjoyable. From the heights and autumn colours of Fuji-sans slopes, active volcanos to the history of Hakone shrine we saw a huge amount in such a short time. Lunch was a great variety and good quality. Our guide, Yuki, was enthusiastic and knowledgable. Even when the weather or traffic threatened our itinerary a couple of times She and our driver went out of their way to adapt to make sure we enjoyed each location right down to getting us to the right platform fir the Shinkansen back to Tokyo. It was clear the back office is also actively engaged in making these tours run well. A couple of tips. Mount Fuji is cold at height and the boat at lake asahi had a chilly breeze on the upper deck so take a jacket. If you have some extra time in the volcanic geopark or it id rainy the museum was only 100yen entrance and can be done in 20 minutes with interesting information on the site.

This tour is highly rated and I can understand a bit but here's the truth. We saw so much and yet so little at the same time. It seems appealing to do so much in a day but the reality is we did not have enough time at each spot including lunch. The entire day was rushed. We were given half an hour at fifth station??? I've been to other tours for mt Fuji that were way differet. On top of that we could not do the cable ropeway or the cruise due to wind. Instead just stopped at other random sites for like half an hour. Which is not their fault however I don't appreciate that there is no equal or monetary compensation. Finally another point is they do not clearly indicate that there is normally lots of traffic going back to Shinjuku as advertised. They say it is for weekends and holidays, but even on weekdays it can be double. While on the tour bus they highly encourage you to take the train or bullet home from Odawara station which is about an hour to 1.5 hr train back. Unless you book the bullet train as part of the tour, you don't take this in account. So just the mental stress of finding your way home just to save time, on a booked tour, is unpleasant. This seems to be a common occurrence and it should be clearly outlined. The tour guide herself was totally fine, very sweet. She could improve on the history and storytellling. It was a bit all over the place and disjointed. But she was good. The tour she was given just was not. I love not having to think about the itinerary for a day and in the end you see mount fuji but everything I hate about organized tours is what this tour can be. Just expect crowds no matter what because they run 3 buses of their own at once including others. The ninja village had no ninjas or shows this season, maybe tell people. Hopefully this helps to inform decisions.

Our guide for today was Angela. She gave excellent information and was very funny. She answered everyones questions with a very happy disposition. We went by coach to Mr Fuji which was amazing. We then went for a meal in a ninja restaurant which had something to please everyone, then onto the volcanic activities followed by the Hakone ropeway down to lake Ashi. We then went on a cruise on the lake after which we boarded our coach to Odawara to catch the bullet train to Tokyo. All together a brilliant day made so much better with our wonderful guide Angela.

This tour is packed with sites to see and we were very lucky to see Mt Fuji’s peak for a bit from the 5th station in the morning as it became cloudy and rainy in the afternoon. Levin, our tour guide, was informative and funny! We especially love his stories and brush up on Mt Fuji’s and Japan’s history as we drove up in the bus for 2 hours. We definitely recommend this tour if you have a limited time in Japan - well organized and enjoyable even in the rain. Lots of stops here but a limited time on each area (30-40 mins) so be prepared for that. They made sure everyone’s back on time in the bus though and we didn’t leave anyone behind, thank goodness! Thank you Levin for the awesome and fun time and to Saisaki-San for being the bestest driver ever!

This day trip depends a lot on the weather but that is not something that the tour operator can predict. We were lucky that the clouds were under us so we could actually see Mt. Fuji. We felt that the 🥷 part of the restaurant and garden and the pirate ship were a bit too touristy for us but I can see why other people might enjoy it. The tour is a bit rushed but in fairness I think this is the best way to experience the whole area in a day. There is a lot of sitting in the bus and being a bigger group people tend to not be back on time. This is not the fault of the tour operator. Our guide MAI was actually always checking that everyone took note of when and where to meet. MAI was very engaging and funny and the bus driver was good as well. We had the buffet and the bullet train ticket included. Overall this tour is a good value for money.
