Tokyo day tour with Japan Panoramic Tours
We greatly enjoyed this varied introduction tour to Tokyo. We experienced a great deal in one day. Recommend including the lunch option for an authentic experience. Quality and nicely selected restaurant and cruise. Tour Guides Blue and Tsubasa spoke excellent English and led the day with warm spirit and competence. Commentary included lots of informal local insights. Highly recommended to see some key sights & side streets of Tokyo.

    Expensive and disappointing
The whole geoup we couldn't see anything because there was snow and as I know now it was in the forecast for long time, the operator should letnus know aboutnit so we could either reschedule it, go no matter what or cancel it, that would be fair, atnleastn1 day in advance but no and a really expensive tour with the main attraction (mount Fuji) never appear in the whole day. Lunch food was ok nothing spectacular, and the other attractions also were not visible or at least interesting because the main attraction was not visible. No views, no nothing.

Cosy and friendly bus tour around mt. Fuji and hakone area
Really nice guide named kay, informational and friendly. It is a shame but the time we went for the tour we couldn't go to the 5th station on mt fuji because of snow, but we instead went to a cute village with food stalls (i cant remember the name)

It’s the last minute decision but we’re so glad that we’ve decided to take this tour. It’s a wonderful experience. Unfortunately that the Mount Fuji was closed that day due to the snowfall but we had opportunity to take some amazing photos in snow near Mt Fuji and Hakone areas. Our tour guide, K is fabulous. Highly recommend this to everyone!

We had Hibiki as our tour guide for the day, she was very helpful, pretty humorous and informative. Not to mention that she’s a great photographer and also very kind. I would highly recommend this day tour to those wanting to see the different faces of Mt Fuji.

Overall experience was good, but itinerary is an overpromise given the quantity of stops and traffic limitations. We spent a total of 3-4hours in regular traffic to start off the day which resulted in a cut of two stops and reduction of time at all other stops. Overall more time was spent on the bus than collectively for the stops. Time at each stop (30-45min) felt rushed and wasn't sufficient to explore, visit shops, etc. I think this tour should either be broken into 2 days or the initial meeting point for the bus should be closer to the first stop to avoid traffic and use time better. The tour guide was great, entertaining and very helpful. I would still recommend this experience as you get to see a lot of interesting stops, but would warn that it is very rushed and it's a lot of time on a bus.

This tour was a real shame in so many aspects.
I believe the itinerary was poorly planned and the bus was extremely uncomfortable for such long trips.
We began the day at 07:20 leaving the meet up point towards Mt Fuji’s 5th station. We had been told to expect some delays due to usual traffic jams along the way. It took us nearly 5 hours (we arrived at 12:30) to reach our destination. It wouldn’t have been so bad if the bus wasn’t so uncomfortable, with very small seats, no toilet and no water. We were given 30 minutes at the 5th station and then headed over to the restaurant where they served our lunch buffet. Around 2:30pm we left the restaurant to endure another couple of hours inside that same uncomfortable bus to do 2-3 more site seeing. The last one we literally could not see a thing cause it was already late and it was so dark by the time we got there (6pm!).
Our tour guide was great and she did her best to make us enjoy our time there, but it wasn’t the best experience for us unfortunately.
So I guess my advice to people wanting to do this tour is: take some water and snacks with you and prepare to spend a good amount of hours inside a very uncomfortable bus.

I want to start by saying I loved the tour guide l, Key. She was helpful, knowledgeable, and organized. Though she was relatively new, it seemed as though she has been doing it for years.

However, I was disappointed what I didn’t know going into the tour. I booked on the Live Japan website and didn’t know two important things: lunch was opt in and there is an option to take a bullet train back to Tokyo. Though Key could have booked the bullet train during the day, it was still frustrating not to have seen the option on the website. Lunch was extremely disappointing. Upon arriving at the meet up location, I was told I needed to go to 7/11 and get food if I wanted to eat because there would be no room for me at the restaurant. Because the website said lunch was included on the itinerary, I was very upset to have had to go out of my way (while the bus was waiting for me) to get lunch beforehand. And even more upset to sit outside by myself while the rest of the people on the tour went inside the restaurant for lunch.

My group and I didn’t really know what to expect when we booked except for the Mt. Fuji tour. We were pleasantly surprised to see a full itinerary that included other activities besides a trip to Mt. Fuji. Melody did a great job providing a lot of tidbits on all things Japanese. Suggestion: let others know what expect with regard to logistics. A note to others: the bus doesn’t have a bathroom on board, and it takes anywhere between 1-2 hours in between site visits.

Taka, our guide was very engaging throughout the tour. He made sure to pronounce our names correctly and made great effort to ensure we are on time at each location. Before the bus stops at each location, Taka also briefs us in detail on the meeting time and meeting location, also tips on to look out for and what we can buy or what we don’t need to waste time on.

After the tour, the bus brings us to the Odawara station for those taking the Shinkansen to Tokyo station for the return journey, then proceed to bring the rest back by bus. We decide to take up the option to purchase the ticket on the bus. The Shinkansen saves quite some time however that would cost more. Decide early and book the Shinkansen package if that’s the route you would like to take.

Decent lunch that includes mini hotpot, also buffet items such as rice, curry, takoyaki, yakisoba, potatoes, ice cream etc that is quite filling.

Would be better if more time is allocated for each location, however that would mean the tour will end later and that would be quite tiring. Alternatively, you can do some research beforehand to see what you want to get from the souvenir shops and what’s available at each stop to ensure you are able to get what you want and still be at the meeting point on time.

We had an awesome time in this tour! Our tour guide Levin is amazing!! He’s very informative, kept us interested and looked after the whole time. We only had a few nights in Tokyo so this tour is definitely worth it. Instructions are very clear from meeting point in Shinjuku and up to the end heading back to Tokyo whether by bus or Shinkansen (Bullet Train). I highly recommend doing this tour when visiting Tokyo 🙂

Angela was our tour guide and worked effortlessly to make sure everyone was ok. Whereas the meal, mt Fuji, cable car, cruise and volcanic experience were wonderful and well worth the money, she knitted it all together with a great and witty command of the English language. She would be worth her weight in gold at the imperial palace, where I was yesterday and where the translation was to say the most, adequate. As we say in Ireland when one is well above the standard “Molaim I”

Our guide Levin was very good, he provided information regarding each stop and was quite humorous. We found he helped keep the bus happy and entertained for the length of time we were on it. He was really good at explaining the return times and the meeting locations. We would give him 5 stars alone!
Regarding the tour, you spend more time on the bus than anything else. Out of the 9 hours of the tour, around 4 hours was spent outside of the tour bus. It would of been nicer if the locations were closer in distance so that we had a bit longer at the locations.
Due to weather, we didn’t go up to the 5th station and had an alternative option. We did see Mount Fuji in the end, while the views were nice on this trip the view we got on the bullet train (Shinkansen) to Osaka was better as it was a clear day.
We went with the meal option, while the food was really nice in comparison with other food we had on our trip in general it felt mediocre. We would of rather brought our own food and enjoyed the Japanese garden instead looking back at it.
We enjoyed the first few stops of the tour but after the cable car/ropeway we felt that it was a bit dragged out and could of easily of finished at that point.
We took the train back to Tokyo as the ride back on the bus would of been 3 hours, so highly recommend anyone to do this either with their Japan Rail Pass or the ticket through the tour.
While we can see the appeal that this will have to others, for us we found that a bus tour is not something we personally enjoy.

The trip is okay. It's not worth the price you pay. I paid $120. It's better to do the trip yourself. The trip was extremely rushed. You barely get to see anything. If you're late, depending on the tour guide, they will make you sing in front of the whole bus. You spend roughly 30 to 40 min in each spot and that's not enough to buy souvenirs as there's so many people waiting in line at the cashier. Also at the Hakone Shrine, there's many people waiting in line to get a photo so 30 min is definitely not enough.
They don't mention on the tour listing that the chances of a clear sky for Mount fuji is so rare. So you're barely able to see Mt fuji
