About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- lumfong0 contributionsTrip of a lifetime!Minh created a custom private tour for us, and everything was so beautifully arranged. Accomodation choices were all clean and comfortable. Some were stellar. Thank you for incorporating our main focus, food(!) into our itinerary. This was the trip of a lifetime. In Hanoi, we would skip the jeep tour. But it does give you an overview of important Hanoi sites. Rest of the stops are strictly for tourist entertainment. Minh and his team were our lifeline, including rescuing me with a visa issue. Ask Minh about it and he may groan! Best tour ever!Written 15 January 2024
- cheryldawnperkins0 contributionsBrilliant Bike TourThe bikes were really comfortable with lots of gears and a decent saddle. The riding was mostly in countryside away from the Hanou pollution. The meals were all really delicious and the company and guides were fun. I had a wonderful day and the guides kept me entertained and hydrated!Written 9 October 2023
- camillacY4176ZB0 contributionsA wonderful day 😊This review is a huge thank you from us. Surely for opening us to a wonderful culture made of people who always know how to welcome someone, even strangers met in a village. The experience that Minh made us try is something spontaneous and awesome. We would like once again to thank you all for welcoming us as part of the family and teaching us what Vietnam is: the real one. Thank you again and we hope to meet soon! - dbubbab0 contributionsDuong Lam Bicycle TourWent for a wonderful morning bicycle tour with Minh through the town of Duong Lam. Not only was the ride fun and beautiful, but Minh was terrific. He was not only great with the bicycles but very knowledgeable about the area and, helpful to American travelers, his English was fantastic. I would definitely consider taking a longer trip with him and recommend him highly for this or any other tour.Written 9 April 2023
- BaldricandBaddles0 contributionsAnyTrails with Minh, AnyTime! Thanks to AnyTrails, we had a really unique & tailor made return visit to Hanoi in November 2022. We were keen on the local Market Garden tour, not cyclists at all but saw mention of Walking Tours, contacted Minh & was not disappointed. Our day began with a walking lunch tour. Delicious Pho plus Hanoi Spring Rolls. Down lanes we went, Fish Balls on the way, to the BEST Bakery in Hanoi for the best Banh Mi EVER! The afternoon was spent at the local Market Garden, enjoying a very special smoothie, pleasant conversation & scenery. We discussed a Ninh Binh outing & also a day exploring more on the back of Motor bikes while in Hanoi. A jam packed moto adventure included the amazing Pottery Museum, crossing the Red River on a local ferry & a delicious Vegetarian lunch. Plus Flower & Vegetable Market Gardens close to the City. Loved being in the middle of traffic on the motorbike & felt very safe with our drivers! Ninh Binh included a comfortable drive, stunning scenery, local towns, history & culture plus dining at a local restaurant specialising in Goat dishes. Minh pointed out the Cycling tour locations & if we wanted to cycle, had confidence he would cater to our fitness & cycle abilities. So maybe next time. Minh listened & made suggestions for us as individual, mature age but young at heart travellers & his itinerary suited as down to the ground. Highly recommend. Contact Minh, you will not regret the decision.Written 9 February 2023
- craigmR7864JY0 contributionsVietnam three weeksOwner Minh Ha created a 3-week itinerary for me to experience Vietnam; it was superb. The trip went from north (Hanoi) to south (Ho Chi Minh City). Transportation included mini-vans, private cars, boats, four domestic airplane flights, train, bicycles, etc. Some days were private guided tours, while other days were combined group tours with other people. All of the logistics worked out fine. Minh was actually my guide on the first full day, bicycling around Hanoi and a farming island in the Red River. Minh speaks excellent English language. I highly recommend Minh Ha and his company AnyTrails.Written 13 December 2022
- ericaA1393SQ0 contributionsTwo wonderful toursBook Ha Long bay and Ninh Binh tours and both were exceptional. Well organized, on time, friendly, and most importantly fun.Written 13 November 2022
- Shauna P0 contributionsExcellent!Magical doesn’t cut it. Minh knows how to curate an experience for exactly what you are looking for- highlighting the chaos of the city with the calm of the country. How lucky we are!Written 10 November 2022
- ChrisS4510 contributionsHanoi by bike, old and newThanks to Minh for a super day in Hanoi, absolutely amazing to take in the new modern Eco village life and then pass to the older parts of the City, seeing the pottery ceramic shops working away, crossing the Red River on an ageing but safe ferry and then seeing the farmers tending their crops and the fishermen toiling away. What a contrast and what a day, sincere thanks to Minh and his wife who accompanied us on the trip as well. We had a lovely local lunch to finish, a fabulous memory we will never forget.Written 9 October 2022
- Nick C0 contributionsRed River Island TourRed River Island Minh, Kevin, and a small bunch of incredibly lithe island custodians have opened up a secret garden in the center of the Red River in the shadow of Long Bien Bridge. They've mastered the waves of the choppy Red River in a tin can boat which is soon to be remodeled by some bright young artists. The island awaits with twisting passages through the verdant undergrowth. The path takes you all the way round the island to carefully crafted bar-b-spots. The river is teeming with people practicing watersports in a variety of ways. There's a cheery holiday atmosphere just 20 minutes from Hoan Kiem Lake in the center of Hanoi. The island is not accessible by bridge and can only be reached by AnyTrails, or swimming the distance alone. It's a few hundred meters from shore to shore with a swift current that would take you to Hai Phong in less time than it would take you in a bus. Minh and Kevin need to update their site and add details of the "other". The "Other" needs to be Red River Island TourWritten 27 June 2021
- Emma D0 contributionsRed River Sunset BBQ tourWe went on the red river sunset BBQ tour. I highly recommend this trip. We went yesterday and had an amazing time. The island is lovely and the two guides that run it are wonderful and very accommodating. Great BBQ food, drinks available, lovely chill area organised and stand up paddle boards available. Will definitely go back! Do it!Written 27 June 2021
- Allison H0 contributionsComparably priced custom tour (motos, hiking, hill tribes, markets) of Ha Giang ProvinceI worked with Minh at Anytrails.com (he is amazing!) to create an itinerary that best fit my interests and timing. This included assessing whether or not to hire a guide/driver, drive my own moto with a tour group or do a solo tour (note I do have a motorcycle license). After a bit of reading and discussions with Minh, I decided upon a solo, 4 night/5 day easy-rider tour to allow for the most flexibility. From there we devised to a realistic plan for seeing as much of the beautiful province as possible with Cuong, an English speaking guide with a personal connection to the region. Cuong facilitated the itinerary requests, executing the perfect balance of homestays and hotels, rural and ‘city’, and included two picturesque and rarely traveled hikes seeing parts of the region others never experience. I visited local markets and took hard-to-believe-they-are-real sights along the Ha Giang Loop. The length of my trip and chosen style (solo/small group) allowed flexibility with plans - where we stopped, how long we stopped, and deviating from the plan/loop to take advantage of side-adventures that popped up. This included witnessing a woman give birth on the side of the road in a small village! Unexpectedly one of the most jaw-droppingly beautiful places I have ever seen. To see it and to experience via motorbike was a gift. After seeing the size of other groups, motorbike and guide quality, road conditions and overall experience needed to be safe on the road, I will definitely look to Anytrails again for planning when I go back.Written 11 June 2020
- Reklipp0 contributionsMy Favorite Day in HanoiWhat an amazing experience! There is something pretty incredible about exploring and eating your way through a city on bike. Mihn (our wonderful and articulate guide) lead my boyfriend and I on a tour of Hanoi that took us through the heart of the city and over Long Bien Bridge to an incredible quiet island filled with Banana Plantations and farms where there were absolutely no other tourists in sight. I have no doubt Mihn showed us corners of the city and local (delicious!!) eateries that we would have never found on our own. No matter if you are an avid cyclist or are just looking for a unique way to discover Hanoi, I would highly recommend the tour. It was by far my favorite day in Hanoi!Written 28 March 2020
- katjap20140 contributionsHanoi from a different prospectiveRiding bikes in Hanoi? Yes, why not! Minh our lovely guide has a fleet of good and comfortable bikes to ride streets of the capital and explore outskirts of the center. It was truly great cultural and biking experience with plenty of good street food along the way. Great blend of riding in the city and country side, where is still lots of undiscovered corners from tourists. If you are looking for different bike/food tour around Hanoi do not think twice! Highly recommended.Written 22 February 2020
- Allison H0 contributionsMore than I expected and a wonderful surprise in Hanoi!Who knew such an oasis existed 5 minutes from the Old Quarter in Hanoi?! Cycling across Long Bien bridge and into the rural setting of banana island, observing local farms and eating straight from the garden - If you want to experience “local” just beyond the hustle and bustle of Hanoi, this is for you. Minh’s tour was exceptional in every way – from simplifying the logistics (seamless pick-up and drop-off), to the quality of the bikes, the conversation, the food quality and quantity (delicious!!), and Minh himself! Thoughtful in design, Minh minimized the amount of riding in Hanoi traffic and ensured we felt comfortable as we exited and entered the city. I highly recommend this tour and, personally, cannot wait to take another Anytrails adventure. Thank you, Minh!Written 26 December 2019

Professional tour company, a/c van with waters and English speaking guide. Our guide was personable, had great English and was flexible. It was too hot to ride as long as we had planned and they were easy to change course and plans on the go. Lunch was great, they ordered well, and the boat ride and hike up the pagoda were very cool. Would recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed this experience. We went as a small family with a 3 yr old. We felt safe and secure. Minh was brilliant in guiding us through the trail and the narrow alley ways. Lunch was fantastic too. High recommend this!
