      Appalled by Racism
I am absolutely disgusted by the racism we encountered at Jacob's Creek. When we arrived for our lunch booking, a staff member named Dru greeted us with pure disrespect. He singled out my husband, who is Asian Australian, and ordered him to return to our car because he had a small container of food for our son, who has severe food allergies. Despite my husband's attempt to explain, Dru aggressively yelled at him to take the bag to the car, questioning his understanding of English. But it didn't stop there. Even our friends from Sydney, who are also Asian Australians and speak perfect English, were treated rudely by Dru. Meanwhile, he showered white Anglo guests with smiles and kindness. It's sickening to witness such blatant discrimination in this day and age. Not only was our lunch ruined by Dru's appalling behavior, but when we raised the issue with the manager, Pete, he dismissed our concerns with a feeble excuse about it being a "busy day." This is not just a matter of bad service; it's a matter of basic human decency. From my observation, Indian guests get the worst treatment. Jacob's Creek, you need to do better. Address the racism within your staff ranks and create an environment that embraces diversity. We won't be returning until this is rectified, and we'll be spreading the word about our horrific experience to anyone who will listen. Shame on you.

      Over priced with attitude
From the time we arrived, a staff member was unfriendly and cocky. we came with a group of 10 family members and we’re here for wine testing and a group meal. The staff member a young man in his 30s was just tolerating us and talking down to the group which was offputting. We had paid $75 per person and the food was lucky to be valued at $35. Lots of bread not to mention that we had all bought drinks as well on top of the $75 then been told that we weren’t booked in for wine testing and sat the group at a door that opened constantly and the chill from the wind.was chili. Will not be returning. We spent the whole day going to wineries and this one was the worst.

      Wow just wow
Beautiful location. Very friendly welcoming. Visiting from the UK. Booked in for a wine tasting. By far the best place in the Barossa Valley for this. I would recommend trying the cellar choice if you can. I hit upon an OLR Biodynamic Shiraz and by far it is was above anything else at many wineries we visited in Oz. Bought a bottle back to the UK and it is by far the best and smoothest Shiraz I have ever tasted. In fact it is the best bottle of wine I have ever had. So recommended and a limited release. Thank you JC. You always make everyone welcome and we adore your wines.

      Great experience
Beautiful location, views, wines and food! We did our tasting before the lunch and it was a very enjoyable experience. Ended up buying some to bring home! The staff were kind and knowledgeable. Food at Harvest Kitchen was absolutely phenomenal, the only regret is that we weren't able to finish it. Would definitely recommend visiting.

Back in the UK, I'm not particularly fond of a lot of Jacob creeks wines that we have on offer "off the shelf" and for that reason have avoided visiting past years. However this year we wanted to try something different and gave it a try. I'm very glad we did. The grounds are beautiful, the facilities are great and family friendly, the staff were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable, and to top it off, I didn't try a single wine I didn't like! They were all very good wines and it took me by surprise. Would definitely recommend anyone to visit and try the wines.

This experience began with wine tasting so that we could then choose our own wine for the picnic & our host was Lauren. She was friendly, knowledgable & listened to our likes & dislikes eventually guiding us toward choosing a most divine grenache. The picnic bag also included a rug, water, a food pack & a map of walking trails so we could choose our own picnic spot. We chose to get away from the cellar door & find a quiet spot by Jacob's Creek itself. Absolutely perfect spot. We couldn't help but relax & soak in the quiet, the bird life & the croak of resident frogs. The food pack consisted of cheese, quince paste, pate, crackers, & dried fruit. It was all delicious, but in my opinion could have done with half the quantity of cheese & the addition of something fresh (fruit or vege).
As we were in the Barossa for the weekend & this was our day two, we'd already had pretty much the same lunch the day before (at maggie beer's farmshop) & our accomodation had generously provided cheese & crackers, so by this time we were a little cheesed out! This is no one's fault & GREAT that local products are celebrated & promoted. I share this so that viewers are aware & can pace themselves accordingly. Our experience with Jacobs Creek was excellent & we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We also appreciated terrific & helpful staff.

The location is quiet contemporary but still very nice, the scenery is amazing, enjoy the walking around the winery, wine were actually very good and the service impeccable, the lady who served us, gave a lot of suggestions that only locals can know!
