About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 807tammiec0 contributionsDo not bookDO NOT BOOK! COMPANY IS CLOSED. I booked through Viator, after 3 calls to the Viator after not being able to contact the tour company, I kept being told just wait they will pick you up from the hotel but they couldn’t contact the company aswell! Of course on the day they didn’t pick us up despite them not listening to our concerns. The company is closed and can not be contacted at all! Waiting for refund! Very disappointing wasted a day of our holiday in cairns due to this! I wouldn’t book anything through Viator. Bad experienceWritten 3 January 2022
- rahulsT6070TM0 contributionsBest ATV tourIt was an amazing experience with Cairns Quads and adventures. An educational and thrill ride though the rainforest, accompanied by the best guide. It is absolutely a value for money tour and not having any ATV experience before this, I felt me and my wife were in safe hands. The route is really thrilling and we had the best guide to explore it with.Written 8 April 2020
- StefDave190 contributionsFUN AND THRILLING EXPERIENCEHi Cairns Quads & Adventures. My boyfriend and I went on this tour very recently and it was the best ATV experience we have had. The amount of time on the ATV was spot on. The track going through the Kuranda Rainforest was awesome (lots of steep hills to go up and down, driving over logs and plenty of muddy puddles to go through). Was a great experience driving through the rain and a great experience to get off the bikes and learn about the some of the nature and wildlife in the area. Very accommodating to supply tourists with a bottle of water each. A big shout out to Nicki the tour guide. She was fantastic and felt like she went above and beyond for my boyfriend and I to really enjoy the experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Stef and Dave!Written 28 March 2020
- ruvonie19970 contributionsCairns Quad AdventuresIt was really fun, we saw a bit of wildlife and lerne heaps of stuff about the Rainforest in Australia!Written 23 March 2020
- Myhanhs0 contributionsAAA - Awesome ATV AdventureNicky was absolutely amazing and accommodating - best guide! With 3 of us from Melbourne and 1 from LA, we had an unforgettable experience! BIG AIR!! Thank you again Nicky and team. Highly recommend anyone travelling to cairnsWritten 17 March 2020
- Buckthetrend270 contributionsGreat experienceFrom the communication about pick up time to being in the transport up to the quad biking - out on the track - going off to green island;the day was amazing. The quad biking experience was definitely my favourite part of the day and set the mood for the rest of the day. Our guide was friendly, had the group engaging with each other(and as a solo traveller, this made me feel a bit more part of a group) and most importantly made me feel really comfortable on the quad bike. Quad biking up and down hills isnt as scary as i thought it was! The snorkelling on green island was great, except the tide was going out in the afternoon, so that meant a little less time in the water, but that's mother nature for you. I would really recommend this experience as something a bit different to just going out to the reef, try something different in cairns.Written 10 March 2020
- O5320SGdianed0 contributionsFun day 10th MarchI have never done quad biking before and I was a bit nervous as what to expect, didn't need to worry, Nicky was our groups guide and she was absolutely fantastic, took great care in explaining everything, when going round the track she was always looking back to make sure we were ok, We were a group of four and we all had a fab day manoeuvring around the muddy track, really was fun an added bonus of seeing some little turtles and finishing the day off with an ice pop, a nice little extra touch 😊 Highly recommend you give this a go it really was great and I cannot wait to do it again 😊Written 10 March 2020
- Julies19900 contributionsExcellent Ride!We had a great time with Nicki, she was fun and knowledgeable and even performed a few bush adjustments to one of the bikes while we were out. We love to ATV, but this was probably the toughest ride ever. It had rained and the puddles were a few feet deep, but it was also crazy fun with some very technical parts, but she asked us if we were up for more adventure before we started, we said YES, and that is exactly what we got!Written 26 February 2020
- jordanknight5460 contributionsFantastic Morning spent in the RainforestHad such a brilliant time. Both myself and my partner had little to no experience riding quad bikes so werent sure how we’d fair along the course but Nicky was so understanding and ensured we had plenty of practise before going out on the tracks. The beginner course was fantastic and the complexity levels of the obstacles increased as we got more confident. Not once did we feel like we weren’t able to do anything, we had so much fun even in the rain it didn’t stop us from exploring the area! We’ve done so much walking through rainforests on our holiday to Cairns so it was great to sit on a bike and experience it up close and personal whilst tackling the environment. We even got to learn about the local area and Nicky was happy to answer any questions we had about life up here in FNQ. Would definitely do this experience again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thanks guys!Written 24 February 2020

The quad tracks and rainforest was Awesome and so much fun we would definitely love to come back and do it again and would recommend to anyone. Our tour guid was also amazing and took very good care of us showing us around and telling us fun facts about the rain forest and animals we even got see the turtles ! Thankyou for a lovely morning!Written 15 February 2020

- NyaNya240 contributionsFun experience for 1st timerLet's start with The Bads: 1. Location was a bit hidden n tricky to find as we drove there ourselves. 2. The guide seemed pre-occupied and was not as warm and welcoming at the beginning. Instructions were quick and short. Having to fill in the bike assessment form and provide credit card details in case of any damages was an unusual experience, especially when we weren't sure what we were checking and ticking for. 3. There was no morning tea provided though mentioned in the website info page. 4. Not allowed to use Go-Pro as the owner doesn't like their property filmed. Would have loved to know about this before booking as it was quite disappointing that we couldn't capture our experience on our own Go-pro device. 4. One of the bikes stalled and turned itself off while on a steep slope was a bit scary and wasn't sure what to do besides holding onto the brakes. Did make me worry about the condition of the bike. Luckily this happened at the end and the guide came back down to help. The Goods: 1. It's a great experience for those who haven't done quad biking before as the guide took us around the easy path to get familiar with it before heading to trickier paths. 2. Being able to borrow their gum boots allowed us to drive through muddy waters without worrying about getting our own shoes & pants dirty. 3. The guide took us to the nearby river and showed us the old turkey nest and termite site was interesting. Overall we had fun riding the bikes, would have loved to ride in a faster speed but not bad for the inexperienced. Looking forward to see the photos and the videos the guide has taken for us.Written 1 February 2020

We had a fabulous day, starting with the Skyrail. Nikki collected us from our hotel and dropped us off at the start of the Skyrail, giving us loads of helpful information. Skyrail is well worth going. Great to see the rain forest and interesting talk by one of the Rangers. Kuranda Village was also good, lots of shops, local craft items and markets to go round. Plus plenty of cafes and restaurants for lunch. Then Nikki collected us in the afternoon and drove us out to do the quad bikes. Wow, it was fabulous. It was the first time we have done quad bikes, but Nikki helped us and the track through the forest was excellent. Such a great day out - thanks Nikki.

This is a must to do when in Cairns.
From the moment Lisa answered the phone , to the driver who picked us to the staff on sky rail then train personnel , the experience was out of this world. Staff friendly and helpful.
Scenery is mind blowing.

We were feeling a bit flat arriving in Cairns after a grand week in Sydney however our faith in the area was soon restored after taking this trip.
Nicky picked us up from our hotel at a pre-arranged time and transported us to the Sky Rail terminal. We had an open ticket for the Sky Rail with an agreement to meet Nicky in Miranda at 2pm.
This gave us plenty of time for a coffee and spending spree in the gift shop!
The Sky Rail was a great experience, we shared a gondola on the first leg and the views were magic. Shame there is no audio commentary though. We arrived at the first stop and did a short board walk locally then made our way back to the Sky Rail. Little tip if you want a gondola to yourself make sure there are family group in front and behind you. Second leg took us to Barron Falls, there we took another board walk. The falls were a bit lacking in the water department but we took some nice pics.
Leg three of the Sky Rail took us to Kuranda, keep smiling as you pull into the station as there is a camera taking pictures!
Once at Kuranda you want to make your way into the village centre. This is best done via the free courtesy bus which drops you at the butterfly sanctuary.
We had 3 hours to explore the markets, shops, get something to eat and see the wonderful butterfly sanctuary. Nicky picked us up outside at 2pm.
Next for the exciting part. My wife and I were both quad virgins however we were made to feel at ease by Nicky. We were taken through all aspects of the bike and safety was obviously paramount. There was only the two of us plus Nicky on this session so we were able to set our own pace. I decided to follow behind the wife mainly so that I could laugh at her mistakes! We spent some time on a practice course to gauge our ability before heading off into the forest. We went through some challenging stages, some really fun stages and some really wet bits! If you wear shorts try to keep your legs away from the engine on the deeper water sections as they kick off some serious steam!
We stopped as often as needed to take photos and the guide is more than happy to take a lead from you with regard pace, photo opportunities and what you want to get out of it.
Upon returning to the paddock we were treated to a cold drink and 'home made' banana cake and just sat chatting to Nicky for ages, she showed a real interest in what we were discussing and made us feel like friends. This was a real personal experience.
On the way back to the hotel we were given great advice on local things to do along with a stop off to take some photos. I do not think this company could have done anymore for us....
So if you fancy a really great full day out in Cairns then give this a try, you will not be disappointed.
Thanks again Nicky

Hi Paul T,
Thankyou for choosing to do our Skyrail/Quad bike experience. The Skyrail definitely is a great way to see such fantastic views on your way up to Kuranda Village and you had plenty of time to explore what Kuranda has to offer.
How lucky you were just to have the 2 of you on tour for your quad bike tour in the Rainforest and happy to hear we could make you both feel at ease before venturing into the Rainforest. We are happy to hear we could give you a lot of variety while on tour including some challenges, mud pits and water crossings all in one afternoon.
We like to hope we gave you an "All in one experience" from start to finish and we do pride ourselves on a personal experience.
Thankyou so much for your kind words we do appreciate it
All the best.

We booked this tour as it was our reason for coming to Cairns and the reviews were absolutely fantastic. $697 for the three of us to spend a wonderful day together into the rain forest. Made this booking, paid in full and received a ‘pending’ confirmation. Waited a day and still did not get a confirmation. My credit card has been charged in full, no tickets issued. Cut a long story short spend 2 hours plus seeking confirmation. A hopeless waste of time. Day of tour comes, we were not picked up, no response from emails and calls directly to tour operator. We are so disappointed. This has destroyed our holiday. Trip Advisor apologised, nothing from the tour operator whatsoever.

We were picked up from our hotel by Nicky - a lovely friendly guide - and driven to the SkyRail where Nicky gave us our tickets and leaflet and left us. From here we travelled to Kuranda on the cablecar and took in the tourist attractions in Kuranda including a riverboat cruise, koala gardens and shops. Nicky picked us up again outside the butterfly house and took us to the Quad site. We had a small group on our tour of 4 people which was ideal.
Bikes and equipment was all good. Tracks were fun - even for a nervous rider like myself.
Nicky was very knowledgeable and chatted to us all throughout the day.
One suggestion would be that they get some smaller Wellies! I have ‘normal’ size feet (UK5) and the smallest ones where way too big. Would be more relaxing not thinking about my shoes getting soaked.
All in all. Fantastic day out! Deffo recommend a tour!

Greetings Melldob,
Thankyou for joining us on our skyrail/quad package. Its a great day as you get to ride on the Skyrail up to Kuranda and explore all what the Village has to offer. We also pride ourselves on small groups as we feel our guests can enjoy themselves a bit more exporing the Rainforest. Yes, unfortunately the smallest size in gumboots "Wellies" that they make is 5, so we have tried finding smaller ones, but are unable.
We are happy to hear you enjoyed your day.
All the best

Same as review below. Booked tour but booking just said ‘pending’ called TripAdvisor to help, they said they’d get in touch with company. Number for company was invalid and email for company bounced back. No way of contacting them. The day of the tour I received an email from TripAdvisor saying it had been cancelled. Hugely disappointed.

Can be a bit flexible.
But always pick up in the morning; drop off before dinner,

Hi
I will like to join your tour on July 23, my last day in Cairns.
I have joined a dive tour live aboard and the return day is July 23. The diving company will arrange bus drop off starting at 8am although we return to pier at 6:30am.
It is still too early to check in the hotel. So I have to leave my luggage there at the hotel first. Hotel is Coral Tree Inn.
The pier is Trinity Wharf Cairns.
I do not know whether is possible to join your tour,
Kindly advise.
