      Great!
Great place! Very friendly and attentive staff. Had a great shore dive, as it was too windy for Blue Cave. Shoutout to Hank for showing me all the fish!

      Great Experience, Recommand!
The site is a bit crowded, but I can understand why. It is because the site is very beautiful and has lots of different fish. The instructor is very friendly and helpful, and from what I see, they arrange instructors who speak your language for better communication to ensure safety. Also, instructors will help you take photos and videos, so all you need to do is enjoy the experience!

      Rude and awful
A member of staff marched over to us ( a group of 4 young girls) pointing his finger and getting in my face. Possibly requires a lesson or two in customer service. To have a policy is fine but to speak to people this way is foul and left me in tears. It is also run out of an old van in a random parking lot, records were kept hand written on lose paper and he told us to go and get a refund “bye bye” while shooing us away. We had been nothing but polite and respectful.

      Great experience!
This was such a great experience! It’s 8 years since I had my last dive, but the guide explained and took everything in my pace. Saw a lot of different fishes, went inside the cave, got pictures of myself diving, and had a fun time. Be prepared to pay Y300 when you arrive to use the facilities - which are not the best, and Y200 for lockable lockers. The doors for the dressing rooms couldn’t be locked which made people walk in on each other, there were a lot of spiders in the toilets, and no mirrors. However the staff were great and spreading good vibes, and the diving experience was awesome. Would highly recommend!

      Great diving
We joined the Blue Cave diving and went back again the next day. It was so much fun not only because of the beautiful scenery but also mainly because of our instructor, Ms. Ka Ka, from MalDive. She speaks fluent Mandarin and English, very attentive and caring. She is super experienced, bought us to best scenes, we watched many kind of fishes and corals. Most importantly, Ka Ka is super good at taking videos, we love those photos and videos she took for us….which we could literally use them to tell beautiful stories. Thanks to Ka Ka for the great experience.

      Amazing instructor and amazing fish!
The instructor is very friendly and supportive! He is also quite frequent in English. We are lucky enough to see a beautiful lion fish (and of course other amazing creatures) in the shallow water. The instructor also teach me a bit about the tricks of neutral buoyancy. The videos and photos he took are also cool! Highly recommended for people who are nervous of first diving :D

      Good diving experience, wrong language
Pros: - friendly and welcoming staff - instructor was great and very open - clear instructions - feeding the fish by hand was unforgettable (one actually tried to bite me!) - fun to play underwater! - many photos included in the package Cons: - when registering I requested “English” but the instructor only spoke Japanese. (Yes, I speak Japanese but I wanted to hear the instructions in English. If the option was given, it should have been honored. Or they should have at least ASKED US for permission to make the change - communication was lacking - instructions on the experience explanation are out of date (there is no longer a logo painted on the truck) ※Not a criticism of the activity since beyond any control but, due to the waves the cave was not available and we had to dive in the 1-2m deep regular beach space. That was very disappointing.

      Amazing experience
I am a super beginner diver and Naoki made it so fun! He even made some really cool bubble rings! The views in the water were wonderful and there was so much marine life. Everyone is very helpful and guided me where I needed to be. I feel like I was able to improve some of my diving skills as well! The gopro videos I received were great. I would definitely recommend this experience to everyone!

We were a group of four and we had a blast! I think our instructor name was Goan, and him and his colleague were really nice. The cave was close, because it was too dangerous, but we still had a lot of fun

We booked for Blue Cave Snorkel as is advertised. The advertisement is not clear that when waves are high that the guides can not take you to the caves. When we arrived the red flag was up and the guide said that he could not take us to the cave. Of course they can not refund you... so they took us to the beach close by and we did snorkeling at a place where there were lots of people not on a tour. We could have easy just gone by ourselves. It felt like we paid money to just do what we always do for free. We wanted to go to the cave that is what we reserved for, but we were not able to go. This type of tour might be good for someone who has never been snorkeling before.

Our initial welcome was a little haphazard and confusing. The organisation seemed all over the place. Our wetsuits had major holes in them and my left leg zipper was also broken. These were the worst wetsuits I've ever had provided by any company. Our instructor was nice and good humoured. He let myself and my partner have a little freedom as we were experiance which we appreciate. The surrounding area around the blue cave is beautiful however the cave itself is claustrophobic as many tours enter it at once. Even diving to avoid the crowd above you are met with more people scuba diving under you. As soon as we entered the cave we wanted to leave. We only paid 22 euro each so we got what we paid for I guess. I'd recommend just renting your own gear as its a easy area to navigate.

Overall nice experience, everyone is nice. The actual blue cave was unfortunately closed the day I went because of rough waters, so we ended up in a cove on the opposite side of the area. The tour guides are in the parking lot operating out of a truck and van, not the main building; ask around for MalDive if you can’t find them.

You’ll get a quick tutorial on putting on the equipment, moving around, etc if you’ve never snorkeled before. Occasionally, the guide will give you food for feeding fish, but sometimes the fish will be impatient and eat the food out of your hand. The swim area is very shallow; you’ll probably be in water that is no more than 1.5m deep. This also makes it difficult to avoid hitting the coral as you swim.

If you’re a large person like me, i.e. around 2m tall and 90kg+, the life jackets are very tight.

Great value! Ya-Ya was our guide. She was very helpful, direct, and had a few jokes for us.

Checking is wasn't too bad. No need to bring water shoes. They provide flippers and shoes. Lock your stuff in your car, and hand the malDive people your keys. No need to buy a locker.

They drive you out to the cliff. You snorkel to the blue cave and back. Tons of fish. We paid the small fee for the extra photos and videos. We'll worth it. Ya-Ya takes great photos and videos.

10/10 would do again. Wish the tour was longer.

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.
After one person in our party was denied access to the snorkelling excursion due to a policy issue, the manager proceeded to get aggressive and become physically intimidating. He continued to deny us a refund, and waved us off the premises while using profane language.
Our issue is not with the policy, but with the horrendous treatment of guests and the crude language. It is atrocious behaviour and no business should be allowed to treat any customers this way.
We will be contacting our third party travel agent to issue a formal complaint and get a full refund.

this what we call cyberbullying. This is same group who are writing bad reviews because we refuse to take one of there member because of her medical condition. and we asked another four to join the tour. but you guys were threatening our employees. telling them that you will be writing bad reviews all over internet if we don't let your friend join . and you guys are doing so. but we can't ignore medical conditions we hope everyone reading this to read all requirements before you book

Got denied without a refund due to having asthma. Tried to explain I have full capacity of breath and take medication regularly. They tried to explain something along the lines of the medication for asthma being the problem instead of the asthma itself. This might be a misinterpretation because english was lacking (Please don't advertise guiding in english if your english is second-rate at best).

I don't find any reason why asthma medication would pose a problem to snorkeling and as long as i keep up my medication I have no shortness of breath even under strenuous activity. I did find that they stated in their terms they could deny people for having asthma, somewhere down deep in text in between parentheses. That said they should atleast offer a refund ...

We understand your concern. But recommend you to read our plan before you book. It is clearly written that people with asthma cannot participate in this tour. And clearly written that we will not refund in that case. We don’t want take any chances by taking out people who have asthma out.

Could not to got blue cave due to ocean swells. Just hiked down where we could have gone with our own gear for free. We’re not given the option or notice until we were already to go. That being said, the guide was great and still made it enjoyable. We got to see some things we probably would not have if we went on the blue cave snorkel. The company should have gave notice and given the option if you didn’t want to continue. It was supposed to be a blue cave snorkel not a right off the road snorkel. Either way we had a great time because of the great guide

We were really pleased that MalDive’s prices (particularly for snorkelling) are a lot cheaper than other companies. The staff were quite jokey and a little sweary which isn’t ideal for people you‘re about to sign your life away to...But the diver that took us out was great and knew his stuff.

The sea was really rough the day we went so the way down to the cave was blocked but they took us on a boat (extra ¥1500 each) to the entrance of the cave instead. A pain to pay a bit more but it meant we got to go in! Cash only btw so take plenty.

You’re not in the cave for very long at all - a few pictures and it’s out to let the next group come in. What’s really fun is the schools of fish you can see as you swim around, who you can also feed with some bread.

You’re welcome to use your own waterproof camera provided you don’t lose it, but the guide will take pics of you that are transferred to you later via iphone (for free, which pleased us!)

All in all a great trip - thanks in particular for the lift to the main town for the bus home.

While overall it turned out ok, my main problem with the company was:
    1. They did not take us to Blue Cave after all, but took us somewhere else. If the weather was not conducive, (as they claim), they should've informed us in advance. However, they said that it's in the fine print, that we reserve the right to take you to another place. It turned out to be a 45 mins swim in a narrow, shallow area near a beach. Rather underwhelming (especially after having gone to Kerama Islands the previous day)
    2. They advertised as having English speaking guide, but our guy (Kimura-san) knew NO English. The person who knew English was managing the booth, and did not come with us at all. So just having one English speaking person on site, but who doesn't come with us, doesn't really help.
    3. They charged more than what was advertised. They said Y300 for all facilities (including towels), but when we reached there, they said Y300 was for the shuttle Service to the beach (and the wetsuit, snorkel etc.), they took another Y300 for lockers, + Y200 each for towels. They should be transparent about it upfront!!
