- joannehS5321IV0 contributionsBest tour with knowledgeable and experienced guide!Wonderful experience, learned so much about Japanese history! We just spent the best 4 hours with Miyo Kuyama wandering the grounds of the castle and learning about its history. We would highly recommend Miyo. Ask for her if you can! Note we did not do the shopping part but had to select from the drop down options…Written 29 November 2024
- ive0nm0 contributionsA wonderful day in KobeWe had a wonderful day touring Kobe with our guide, Kaori. She took us through a walking tour of the city and the port area, then after a delicious lunch, to the hills via cable car. Her local knowledge of the city was insightful and made it a memorable day for us. Ohkini, KaoriWritten 8 November 2024
- Escape177714480620 contributionsGreat tour with Ms MiyoWe had a great time with Ms Miyo Kuyama, our tour guide. She is very witty and and conducted the tour with a smile throughout. She had great knowledge of the places and told us very interesting anecdotes related to the sites. Thanks to her, we had an amazing experience.Written 5 November 2024

- reyesdaza0 contributionsThe best guide in KyotoI recently had an incredible experience in Kyoto with Kaori, our guide! She was not only warm and friendly but also engaged us with informative slides before each stop, enhancing our understanding of the sites. Her storytelling brought the history and culture of Kyoto to life. She also took amazing photos of our group, If you're looking for a knowledgeable and charming guide in Kyoto, I highly recommend her! We had a wonderful first day in Kyoto thank s to KaoriWritten 1 November 2024
- keithbroad0 contributionsA great way to orient ourselves to ŌsakaWe did have a bit of trouble meeting up with Kaori (our guide), mainly because Osaka station is massive and the meeting point is downstairs. Anyway, once we met up, Kaori showed us some of the sites, especially around the shopping district—a fascinating place. We are both quite old and suffering from a number of physical problems, nevertheless Kaori tailored our walk to meet our needs. So, it was a bit of a saunter rather than a walk. It was good fun and Kaori was an excellent guide.Written 23 October 2024
- Roving4448590 contributionsA Walking Tour Delight in Osaka, JapanExcellent guide named Miyo. Her English was amazing and she answered so many questions during the course of our tour that 3 other previous guides did not answer fully. She took us to a fabulous place to eat. I would recommend this tour to all. IF you get Miyo for your guide you will be very fortunate!Written 24 September 2024
- ervand20230 contributionsNice spectrum of local foodsNice variety of food, friendly and engaging servers along the route (known by the guide). Guide was very friendly, helping us with language along the way. We had sashimi at the fish market, along with a tour, a stop for deep-fried goodies, a quaint tea house hidden down an alley, and lunch at restaurant with some local cuisine different than anything known in American-Japanese restaurants.Written 25 August 2024

- Traveler3854380 contributionsGreat experience at Minoh Park TourMr Ichiro was a wonderful guide during my walk at Minoh Park. He was more like a fellow friend who came to the park together with me. We had a great time chatting and walking through nature. Thank you for the wonderful experience and I would highly recommend anyone to do the Minoh Tour with Mr Ichiro.Written 4 July 2024
- geoffroyr7170 contributionsAndo was the best and we loved our visit with her.Ando Minako was a superb guide. We met her at 9 am and the visit was perfect. She gave us some great information and made it very interesting. Even our 12 years old twins loved it and had a great time. The castle was great and the rest of the tour. We also felt that it was just enough information and what we were looking for. We highly recommend Ando if you want to have a great visit.Written 15 June 2024
- kristineg7630 contributionsPersonalized tour through Japan’s majestyI began planning our trip to Japan one year in advance, and had specific ideas about what attractions were most important to visit based on individual preferences. Though I reached out to more than five different touring companies, only All Star Osaka Walk was willing to accommodate our ‘dream list’ within the itinerary allowed time. Not only were we able to chose the schedule, but also our most desired guide, Kaori, whom I’d read stellar reviews from previous travelers on similarly ambitious city days. As anticipated, Kaori-chan was responsive, thorough, responsible, ethical, efficient, and kind. What we couldn’t have predicted was how warm and caring she would be, attending to all of our needs (down to providing a hand drying cloth at temple restrooms and even sharing her favorite snacks and electrolyte drops during these very hot summer days in Japan). We knew we were truly in the best of care as she led us through the beauty and majesty of Kyoto and Osaka. Each night at dinner, our son revived the many lessons Kaori-chan had filled our days with, from history and social, spiritual, cultural foundations and the meaningfulness of traditions and rituals in Japan. She was always gentle and encouraging with her teaching, providing insight in an engaging manner that everyone could grasp and find personally relevant. Not only did we see so much in two days, but we expanded our hearts and minds by choosing to share our limited time on this trip with Ms. Kaori. I’d most strongly encourage you to consider the same. There could not have been a better way to travel through the dense beauty of Kyoto and Osaka for our family. With gratitude, we will always remember these dream filled days. Thank you, All Star Osaka Walk! 🩷Written 13 June 2024
- Voyager565986710190 contributionsNot for us, we had high hopes. We didn’t enjoy our walk and it wasn’t what we expected. There were only 4 of us and Rika didn’t check what we might be interested in. Too long at Osaka Station, the garish Dontonburi area was plastic, the ‘tasting restaurant’ was dirty. We did enjoy walking through the old Geisha / theatre alley way and seeing the little Shinto & Buddist Temple/Shrine. Wouldn’t recommend, sorry Guide Rika.Written 8 June 2024
- ModMean0 contributionsGreat way to spend a few hours in OsakaThis was an interesting tour. We definitely saw parts of Osaka we would not have visited on our own. It gave us a completely different feel for the city than we would have taken away from the standard tourist spots. Our guide was pleasant, informative, and definitely loved her city.Written 7 June 2024

It was a lovely working tour. Found many interesting spots in Shibuya and Harajyuku with informative and heartwarming guide, Aki and Hiroko. Experience in Japanese-style pub, sweets-shops and Okonomiyaki, Japanese-style pancake lunch satisfied my stomach and heart! They are so wonderful story teller that I got to know deeper about this district. Highly recommended!

I really liked this tour! I enjoyed food at a tradditional Izakaya pub, sweets at lovely shops and eating a kind of "okonomiyaki", a local dish in Tokyo. It was also nice having a leasurely stroll along the back street. You can find charming cafes, stylish clothing stores and unique shops. Thank you so much Akie san and Hiroko san!
