At the first sushi restaurant, you can enjoy Vegan Sushi in a Japanese traditional Sushi style called “nigiri” with a good view of Shibuya. A professional sushi chef prepares sushi by choosing seasonal vegetables and using age old knife techniques.

We had a great time doing the vegan tour in Shibuya. The vegan sushi was delicious and the restaurant had an amazing view of Tokyo. They could even accommodate a gluten free diet. We especially enjoyed our wonderful guide Suzy who gave a lot of insightful info about life in Shibuya and Tokyo. She even showed us places we would have never seen otherwise. 100% recommend taking the tour if you are looking for a nice evening with delicious vegan food.

We are Hindu vegetarians from New York with strict dietary requirements. Went on tour with Hide, who was the most amazing guide! Great itinerary, but Hide’s guidance was the best part-perfect knowledge of the area as well as the ability to set everything into geographical, historical, and cultural context. Hide speaks functionally native English, and lived in NY as a kid, so as English speakers it was really easy. Would highly recommend!

No one else booked the night of our tour so we felt like we were out with a new local friend instead of on a tour. We had so much fun all because of Tommy. The food didn't blow our minds but was good and nice to have someone with us to navigate the vegan scene. More than the food, it was about the overall experience for us. We stopped at two restaurants / cafes to eat and drink and Tommy gave us lots of local information as we walked through the streets and at the restaurants. Our last stop was a karaoke bar. Honestly, my partner and I do not love karaoke and we may not have booked had we known that was the last stop BUT we are so glad we didn't know ahead of time and that we did book because we had so much fun. We both got up to sing (it's a private experience) and were terrible (predictively so) but had fun. Then Tommy got up. My jaw dropped. This guy is just so fun, he really brings the energy.
After the tour we visited a nearby speakeasy and could not stop talking about how unexpected and fun our evening was... we're still talking about it. We do not do tons of tours as we have been traveling full time for over 8 years and are fairly independent but after more than a month in Japan with few vegan options we thought this could be cool and wanted to support a vegan experience.
Tommy was already at the meeting spot and easy to find when we arrived.
Tommy was always professional but also super personable.
Know that if other guests in your group are not vegan there are omni options.

This tour is an excellent introduction to vegan dining in Tokyo. It was easy to find Hide with the orange Magical Tour sign as indicated in the tour information. I was the only guest that evening, so I was happy that the tour was not canceled. Hide is an engaging tour guide, with an easy going personality and appreciation of vegan cuisine.
The vegan sushi (served with a delicious salad) at Gonpachi was superb. Paired the sushi with a cocktail. The restaurant has a panoramic view of Shibuya below. Staff there were quite friendly. After that meal, it's an easy walk to 2foods, a more casual spot where we enjoyed soy cutlets (imitating chicken convincingly) and a small bowl of ramen. Another (included) alcoholic beverage accompanied this meal. I was so impressed with the 2foods that I ate at their Ginza location a couple of days later.
To conclude the evening, there is another opportunity to enjoy a cocktail and to perform a couple of songs at a karaoke bar. By 8:30, it was time to conclude the tour. Hide escorted me to the starting point, with clear directions on how to find the nearest Metro station entrance.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience on this tour of a fairly niche but growing part of Tokyo's food scene. Our guide, Lam, was very friendly and knowledgeable of Shibuya's famous spots as well as its hidden gems. He's also a great conversationalist and gave us lots of insights on Tokyo culture and the Japanese language that you could only get from a local.
The food at each stop was delicious. Be prepared though that you will feel very full by the end of the tour, so plan accordingly. This tour also has plenty of non-vegetarian/vegan options, so there's something for everyone to enjoy.
The reason why I'm giving it a 4/5 instead of full marks is because the restaurant at our second stop was out of everything on their menu other than 2-3 items (out of more than a dozen). This wasn't the guide's fault, but this lapse in foresight from the tour agency slightly diminished our enjoyment of the experience. This could have been a bigger issue if we had pickier eaters who wouldn't like any of the remaining options on the menu.
Overall, we highly recommend taking this tour and, if you can, book with Lam.

Suzy is excellent! She made this tour a highlight of our trip. Between the knowledgeable history, friendly conversations, delicious food, and humour and laughs, we had a lovely evening. She went above and beyond to provide recommendations for the rest of our Japan travels and offered a helping hand if we need it while visiting. We especially appreciated her courtesy and it felt like we made a new friend not just a tour guide! It was spectacular. Would recommend this memorable tour with Suzy.

Amazing your guide Hide. He is a local resident and has a global background in travel so he understands the needs of the tourist. Himself as someone who also espouses the benefit of vegan food, he understands the difficulties in sourcing meals in Tokyo. The two spots he took us to were both great. One was a sushi restaurant and the other was more contemporary with a fusion meal.

We made this reservation without being very clear about expectations, and it was, however, a success. The route with Yuki was fantastic, we learned a lot from life in Tokyo, and from many of the social and gastronomic customs of the people here. But also, the restaurants selected were fantastic, much better than expected. They made a fabulous effort to generate the route veganally, and the products were top quality. The choices of sushi, sake, or okonomiyaki were an absolute surprise. We're just so full, actually! The last stop was an innovative Asahi cocktail joint, and sharing time with the guide was like meeting an old Japanese friend to catch up. Very good experience.

We spent an amazing evening with Kazu learning about veganism in Tokyo and trying so many delicious foods and drinks! He was absolutely incredible, so friendly and gave us so much information for the rest of our stay and our next visit to Japan. He is unbelievably knowledgeable and so helpful.
