          Amazing First Day in Tokyo
This was the best way to spend our first day in Tokyo! Our amazing guide, Fumiko, taught us all about the history of the city and the sites, and guided us through the metro system, she even took our pictures and helped us find a lunch spot! The temples and shrines were beautiful and we couldn’t be happier with this tour.

          Incredible Entry Tour to Tokyo/Japan!
Absolutely worth it! I went with my sister in January 2025 and our guide, Kenji K., taught us so much about Japanese traditions. He also tailored our tour to the areas we requested and even took us to an amazing Izakaya tucked away in a residential area. He came loaded with suggestions and stories and we had an blast! Thanks so much Kenji! Highly recommended especially for first time visitors or those who have never really “doven” into the fabric of Japanese culture. You’ll learn a lot!

          Great winter walk
Andy was a really good guide explaining the sights we saw. He was also really patient in responding to our questions and also patiently waited while we got distracted by stores

Had a wonderful time, and tour guide is excellent!
We had a wonderful time, and our guide Kahori made the experience so much better! We decided to go with a tour to make sure we experience Itsukushima as best we can, and Kahori was very supportive, knowledgeable, and shared her local knowledge to us inquisitive bunch. We learned a lot on our tour, with insider tips and stories and all the best photo spots as well. There were a lot of things we would have missed if Kahori didn't help us. We also got many food recommendations which were excellent, and when our train was delayed, Kahori made sure we got to our departure point safely and swiftly. I highly recommend!

          Excellent guiding Kazz!
Kazz was fantastic. He developed an itinerary for us based on our interests and gave us options on the day. His knowledge on all topics we asked such as Buddhism, nature and Japanese history was excellent. Thanks Kazz for a special day!

          Fantastic guide Izumi!
We did this tour with two adults and two children aged 9 and 7. We visited Asakusa, the Tsukiji Fish Market and Ginza. Izumi was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide who shared many interesting facts. The kids were particularly engaged with the fortune sheets at Senso-Ji shrine, including the animated way in which one obtains their fortune. The children also loved ‘Buddha’s Breath’, the incense stand, and the main hall of the temple itself. Shopping for half an hour in Asakusa and trying street food was also a real highlight for us and for the children. The fish market was exciting and vibrant with many places to eat; Izumi helped us find a proper sit down restaurant of high quality (many places in the market are “stand up only”, but our kids needed to sit down). Izumi also provided me with a metro map and explained about the two different ownerships of the different lines - invaluable information (for this reason I recommend doing his tour on day #1 in Tokyo if you can). The whole day was about 2km of walking, give or take, so not too much for littler legs, but we would have struggled to do this tour with a pram (many steps in the metro; having said that, I’m sure Izumi would have a pram strategy!). I hope this information helps you.

A great way to see Asakusa area
Such a great introduction to the city for us. Our guide, Tatsunobu (Ted), took us through the Asakusa area seeing the temples at Senso Ji. Having Ted explain the cultural and religious backgrounds to the Buddhist and Shinto temples made the experience all the more fascinating. We also went through Yanaka and saw the temples at Nezu and stopped for tea at a lovely local shop. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Thank you to Koji for an amazing day!
Koji was so reliable on prompt. He greeted us with a smile and was extremely polite the whole day. Koji catered to every request we had and was so patient with us all day. Koji was very informative and had even prepared printouts for historical information. We had an amazing day because Koji took great care of us. Thank you.

Walking tour of Tokyo with Naomi
We booked this 4 hour tour after an overnight flight from Australia. It was a perfect introduction to Tokyo. Naomi was great in helping us to navigate the Tokyo train system and interesting aspects Japanese culture. Naomi was very helpful in answering our questions. After the tour we were confident to spend the next few days using the train system to explore many of the different areas of Tokyo. I would recommend Naomi to any one visiting Tokyo.

Excellent 6 hour walking tour of Tokyo
We had the pleasure of having Lily as our guide on a recent visit to Tokyo. Lily was punctual, waiting for us in our hotel lobby before the set departure time, where she gave us a brief explanation of the day's itinerary. During the tour Lily was very informative with excellent knowledge about the sites we visited and their cultural significance. She also directed us to good lunch and refreshment stops along the way. Her English is excellent, she is personable and was happy to share insights about what life is like living in Tokyo. I would have no hesitation in recommending Lily to anyone wanting to do a walking tour of Tokyo.

          Wonderful family experience
We are so pleased we booked a guide for our first day as a family in Tokyo. Kyoko was absolutely delightful and we had a brilliant day. She was punctual, clear and helpful in her emails leading up to the tour and so patient on the day. We have 3 boys under 11yrs and Kyoko knew how to make little choices that made our day even better. She gave us great insights and took us places we would not have otherwise known about. Great service and wonderful day.

          Minoru is an excellent guide!!!
We loved the customized itinerary and support we got from Minoru and the tour. We got to see the big areas we wanted, try local cuisine, feel different vibes in different parts of Tokyo and he got us back to our hotel safely on our first full day in Japan. It felt like he knew is and what we wanted by the time the tour started, and we had a great time. Thanks again, Minoru-san!!

The whole day was an extremely enjoyable and enlightening experience, as Pure Water, an officially licenced Japanese Tour guide, had done so much groundwork to ensure that everything we wanted to see ( on our very particular list) was included. Yet his meticulous program allowed us to visit all the important places in a timely and unhurried fashion. We loved everything we saw and did, and would absolutely recommend Pure Water as a guide for an individualised tour. Pure Water was aware one of us was slightly injured and adjusted things accordingly, without missing anything. He was considerate of our interests and was very knowledgeable about all the relevant sites. His excellent English was beneficial in the museum visit especially in translating signage there. We loved the (very arduous) hike up Mt Haguro; visiting pivotal temples and shrines and collecting goshuin (temple stamps); and the aesthetic vegetarian lunch he suggested and arranged was delicious and unforgettable. As was the Gyokusenji temple, stunning gardens and matcha tea sitting. A personal favourite was ancient Koutaku-ji temple and surrounds, yet the entire day was special. Sake tasting always a fun thing, too! Pure Water made the day memorable, for all his research in arranging everything; in taking the time to get to know us beforehand by email. Would definitely utilise his services for our next visit.

Thanks a billion for writing such an amazing review which I did not expect this much. I am just more than happy to be able to show you around all the places you take a special interest in. Your enormous and extraordinary curiosity and interest in traditional parts of Japan literally triggered my future strenuous efforts to delve more into my own homeland. I will never forget your smiling faces even during the difficult climb to Mt. Haguro and the Japanese phrase “Arigato “ you said for any small service you got, which by all means made all the locals around us very cheerful and comfortable. I wish you both could come back to Yamagata to experience another two mountains of “Dewa Three Mountains”, which you missed this time because of the time constraint. I do hope that our paths will definitely cross again in the VERY near future. Pure Water (sometimes Poor Water)

Our guide is kayoko san. She makes good effort to ensure our trip is comfortable. She met us at our hotel near Yamagata station so that she can go with us to tsuruoka which is long bus ride away. Though it was drizzling our climb to the summit was enjoyable. After we summited mt haguro we went to Kama aquarium which is famous for its jellyfish collection. The overall coordination for buses to different places was seamless thanks to our guide. Overall good experience.
