Interesting museum and fantastic show
Nov. 2019
I enjoyed very much the visit to the ninja-house and especially the ninja-show. Also the museum was very good with explanations in English. Before you go to Iga please check the show-times. They will only perform a few times every day and not all days in the week. So please check out before you decide when to go.
This place is definitely worth a visit.

Ninja Performance, House, and Museum
Jun. 2019 • Couples
I would give the Ninja Museum a 3.5 out of 5 stars. It was a little cheesy. We were on a cruise ship excursion that went to see the Ninja performance, then through the museum and to the Ueno Castle. All were within the same park/walking area. The Ninja performance was exactly what you might think it would be - some fake battles, throwing ninja stars, etc. It would be great for a 10 year old boy. After the performance, which was approximately 10-15 minutes long, we proceed to a visit to a "ninja house" where we had to remove our shoes to enter. We really only saw two rooms and they did a few more ninja demonstrations and then we walked through the museum, which was just a couple of rooms of ninja stuff. It wasn't super impressive, but there really isn't a lot of touristy stuff to do in this area, so if you are visiting the area, this is worth seeing. This would be great for kids maybe ages 5-14.

Too cumbersome to get there
Dec. 2018 • Family
If not for the fact that my son insisted on seeing the first ninja clan in Japan, I would not have wanted to make the trip there. We stayed near Shin-Osaka and getting there for us meant changing a number of trains, which was confusing.

When we got there, I was a little disappointed how small the village and museum was. I think we spent more time commuting then we did at the ninja village and museum. Unless you are staying somewhere near, i would not bother with the long trip to get there. No worth the effort and time.

Don't bother
We decided to stop on our way driving from Osaka to Tokyo. After seeing the castle we decided to check this place out and based on the positive reviews we were expecting more. Maybe if we had gone on a different day it would have been better. The guy doing the ninja house demonstration was rude, the attitude towards us poor and disinterested. The demonstration was short and felt rushed. We encountered 4 people who worked there and only the gentleman at the front door who let us in was polite. Friendly like you would expect from someone in an industry that deals specifically with customers. Our 13 and 15 year olds by all means should have been entertained thought it was garbage and preferred the non-interactive exhibition at the castle. The museum was shabby. The gift shop full of cheap novelty items. The clerk behind the counter ignored the customers to talk to the house ninja. Save your money. Take it up the path and visit the Basho museum instead.

Informative, Entertaining Ninja Experience
Nov. 2018 • Friends
A little out of the way but worth the trip. Ninja show was very entertaining with just the right mixture of humour and comedy. Highly recommended. Better dollar value than the Samurai/Nija Experiences in Tokyo (Shinjuku) or Kyoto. Much larger venue.
