We are so delighted to have met Ahmet, and even his wife briefly, who together run Guided Istanbul Tours. Both are amazing tour guides, but we had the pleasure of Ahmet for two days. Ahmet was a wonderful guide, punctual, flexible and relaxed, not to mention extremely knowledgable about the vast and fascinating history of Istanbul. Istanbul is a complicated city straddling two continents, and it can be difficult to navigate for first timers. Don and #39;t worry, Ahmet is your man! In two days we covered all the key sites and more. He even helped us purchase items for ourselves and our family, and recommended great places to eat. There and #39;s nothing like exploring a new city with a local. And with a population of 20million, having a guide - who is so reasonably priced - is a wonderful investment in your trip. We enjoyed our experience with Ahmet so much that we will come back next year and do the Cappadocia and Ephesus tours with him. Thanks Ahmet for a wonderful two days!!

We chose the 2 day tour to allow us plenty of time. Ahmet, our guide for the two days was tremendous. He was extremely knowledgeable on all the sites and Istanbul generally. He went out of his way to ensure our needs were met, including some great restaurant recommendations. Highly recommend.

No regrets booking this tour. We only had 3 days in Istanbul and decided to book the 2-day Private Guided tour. Our guide Rosa T. was very knowledgable, conversant with every places included in this tour package: from its history, small detail infos, funny stories and future plans. She was punctual in both days and was well organized. Some tickets were purchased ahead of time so we don't have to line up to enter specific tourist attractions. She as well would adjust to our own phase accordingly so we can take photos and enjoy a particular scenery. Options were offered as well especially where to eat. We are big eaters and we truly appreciate Rosa's familiarity with options to where to bring us. She only not provided us a good narrative of the places we saw but also gave us a short local food commentary. She might not do this to all her tours, but she did offer us Turkish coffee in a street near the Spice Market during a spare time on the 2nd and last day of our guided tour. Small approach like this one is truly appreciated and memorable.

We spent a delightful day with our tour guide Hilmi seeing the must see in Istanbul. We were impressed with his knowledge, and he was very accomodating as my husband had a injured leg he adjusted our tour for him. My wife and I had a 2 day Guided tour with Ahmet. Sensational. The tour covered everything that we wanted to see and experience plus a few extras. Ahmet was so friendly, knowledgeable, considerate and efficient. He managed to avoid crowds and large tour groups making our experience most pleasurable. Hiring our guide Ahmet was the best vacation expense I have ever had in all my world travels. He enhanced our two days with him in so many ways, that I never expected. The only downside is that Ahmet set the bar so high, that I will be disappointed anywhere else I go. I will not tell anyone that oh you should hire this guide because Ahmet became our close friend in the two days we spent with him, and I will tell people that I have this friend that can show them around Istanbul. If you are interested in history, or really anything about Istanbul, or the country of Turkey, then having a college professor would be useful right? This is what you get when hiring Ahmet to accompany you on your adventure. He has a degree in history, and his english is impeccable, but the value is the interaction about everything from philosophy to politics to art is such a treat.
