Hi, I'm Anna, a traveller from Japan. For the past 13 years, I’ve been travelling the world on my own, visiting over 60 countries. I love to get off the beaten track and find hidden gems in each country I visit. My trip to Macao was no different; it was a fantastic adventure and completely different from any other country that I’ve travelled to.

I started the trip exploring the Lazaro area, filled with cosy cafes, small local shops with crafts from local artisans, and MinM Plaza, a must-visit for unique finds.

After a spot of shopping, it was time to head off in search of food. Macao has a rich heritage with a mix of Chinese and Portuguese cultures that is best explained through food. Don't miss Taipa, where the famous Jade Dragon restaurant serves up amazing Chinese dishes full of flavour. No Macao meal is complete without the famous ‘egg tart’ - you can find it in just about every bakery so I urge you to explore and find your favourite. The variety of flavours available is truly a delight to the senses.
