Getting from Cancun airport to the Hotel Zone

Cancun’s Hotel Zone is located 15 miles away from the Cancun International Airport. Depending on which method of transportation you choose, the journey can take as little as 30 minutes. If your hotel doesn’t provide a shuttle service, here are your other options:

1. Airport shuttle service

For a comfortable and seamless trip to the Hotel Zone, services like Cancun Airport Transportation and USA Transfers provide private shuttles straight to your hotel lobby. We recommend making an advance reservation to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible. It will cost around $55 for a round trip, for up to four people.

2. Taxi

You won’t find any “regular” taxis at the Cancun Airport. Instead, there are airport-regulated taxis whose drivers have been pre-authorized to take you to your hotel. Check for an ID or badge to avoid boarding an illegal taxi, which will usually charge exorbitant rates. A normal taxi into the Hotel Zone should go for around $25.

3. Public bus

The affordable public bus service run by ADO only stops at Downtown Cancun. After you disembark at Cancun Centro, you’ll have to transfer services in order to make your way to Hotel Zone’s main street, Avenida Kukulkan. The whole journey will only cost you around $10.
