DO NOT STAY HERE !! Like they say you get what you pay for, you pay cheap the experience is def gonna be cheap. There is no breakfast , no gym area the two things they advertise on the site . The hotel is under construction so it look a seen out of a horror movie. The front counter is super messy wit papers and folders. THE TV DOESNT HAVE ANY CHANNELS THAT WORK, glad we had cell phones .There was a big whole in the bathroom ceiling where a vent light something was suppose to go . THIS HOTEL NEEDS TO BE OWNED BY SOMEONE WHO CARES SBOUT THERE CUSTOMERS CAUSE AINT NOWAY SOMEONE CARES AND THE HOLYEL UNTER THIS TYPE OF CONDITION.

The hotel was a disaster. leaky walls room keys had to be replaced 5 times. No cold water in our room. No room service. then work of all we were there for a hockey tournament; they made us pay for a 4-night stay when we checked out in 3 days. The tournament only lasted 3 days. They said they could not print a receipt they would e-mail it They did not and charged us the 4 days along with others on our team. Hockey teams if you are doing a tournament do not, I repeat do not stay at this hotel. Worst experience ever.

I've stayed at this hotel several times. It is an ok hotel IF you just need an overnight to catch an early morning departure but be aware the hotel has no restaurant, bar, or swimming pool. They have been closed for a year + now! There are several hotels near by so you can walk over to their restaurant / bar. Also, if you are a premium Marriott Bonvoy member do not expect upgrades. On the several stays I've had at this hotel not once was I upgrade even though the website shows availability. They keep the suites open in case of flight cancelations and last minute reservations! I recomment the hotel only if you get a very good rate, or low use of your points and just need a place to sleep. Rooms are comfortable but a bit tired.

Great stay! It was nicer than I expected from other reviews. It was nice, comfortable, and close to the airport. The shuttle service worked out super well and we had zero issues using it. Overall a great stay!

Every touch with the staff, including the shuttle driver were warm and friendly. The interior was lovely, the lobby and rooms recently renovated. As I was there on a voucher, I did not have to provide deposits, which I admit would put me off. I did not smell marijuana and the noise level was low.

The hotel was arranged for me through the airline due to a cancelled flight, so normally based on reviews I wouldn’t haven’t picked staying here. The ladies at the front desk and the shuttle service were extremely kind. It appears the hotel is older and the lobby was where they started with renovations. The hotel smells a bit old and the carpets are in need of repair. All in all, not awful in a pinch. Avoid the breakfast it was less than desirable.

I ordered a falafel wrap with no feta. I’m vegan. It took 25 minutes to get it to go. I got the WRONG order with steak (cow). I was already on my flight when I opened my food and found out. Super disappointing. I’m also allergic to beef, so I’m glad I didn’t accidentally eat the meal.

The burger was better than the chicken sandwich. The service was perfect, could not have been better, I left my phone there and the waitress used it to call my husband, probably saving our whole vacation. Great staff!! Sorry I didn't get her name but she was awesome.

Tired run down property with distracted staff. But unfortunately there’s not many choices to stay for the night that’s convenient to DTW airport (at least that I’m aware of). Other than a high priced Westin. Therefore I try hard to not require a layover at DTW when I fly

This motel is AWFUL! Supposedly under construction but nothing was being worked on. They advertise free breakfast - forget that! The ice machines either do not work or do not have a tray to hold the bucket. The entrance is uneven and an accident is waiting to happen! The coffe pot in the lobby had a half a cup of COLD cofee! The TV did not work! The electirc panel under the TV came out of the wall when items were being unplugged! The toilet paper holder was missing and tp was just sitting on the counter. The worst was the MOLD in the coffee maker in the room. The best part was the ability to leave your car anywhere in the parking lot if you buy the sleep park fly package. DO NOT STAY HERE!

We had a wonderful experience at Hampton Inn and Suites, Romulus. The hotel was beautiful, clean inviting. Vetese and Niayla were amazing, prompt, extremely friendly and welcoming! The rooms were clean and the beds were beyond comfortable.
The pool and hot tub were clean and much needed after a long flight.
The breakfast was warm and fresh.
Everything was new and up-to-date and of great quality.
We will definitely be back!

Helpful and friendly staff, easy check in. Restaurant was good, not spectacular, but it got the job done. Standard pub fare but it was tasty and not expensive. Hotel Price was inline with other park and fly options and it's very close to airport.

Not good. It’s not a full service Marriott. Only 1 restaurant which is not open most of the day. The lobby smelled like someone smoked a joint and the elevator was not working the entire stay. The people working here are nice but it’s not worth staying.

Leanna was delightful and very helpful when I encountered an issue with my reservation.

That kind of customer service is hard to come by these days!

Our room was clean and tidy. Just what we needed after a long day of travel

Thank you, Leanna! And thank you Comfort Inn!

We booked a room at this hotel because we were catching an early flight. We found the rooms to be grossly sub-par, in desperate need of repair. They were somewhat clean; however, we were sent to three separate rooms before we were able to get a room with 1) TV with a remote, 2) a room with a working air conditioner, 3) a room with a TV that wasn't all static. We were moved three times. The firsts time, when I complained about the air conditioning not working, the desk clerk told me to find the reset button for the cord as "sometimes it shorts out." Still no air conditioning. AND no remote for the TV. When I asked where the remote was, I was told that "this room does not come with a remote control." Huh?? So we moved to another room. This time, I got the A/C to work by pushing on the restart button on cord by electrical outlet. The casing for that was broken and scary to push. But we now had a remote, but no TV channels. Just static. I called front desk and was told I had to program the TV. Desk clerk came to the room and said that the TV was broken, that they were aware of this. Again...huh?? Why put us in a room with a broken TV when I just was moved as we had no remote to power the TV. So were moved to a third room. This one had a TV that was on, but later in the night I found out that I could not turn off the TV. Or control the volume. Remote did not work. TV was just "on." The floors in this room were vinyl plank, and it seemed as though the flooring was placed down on top of bubble wrap. My husband walked across to go to the bathroom and I am sure the neighbors heard his steps. The bedding consisted of a very lightweight top sheet and a lighter weight "throw." No other blankets or spread. We turned off the A/C but we froze all night. Heater did not work. And woke up every time one of us walked to the bathroom. The lamp with outlets between the beds on the end table turned on, but the outlets were busted and a fire hazard. Broken bits of plastic on the table, with no way to use the outlets for phone charger.

We did not sleep much at all, but got up early and went to the airport. Better to snooze in a chair upright than to stay in the joke of a room. DO NOT STAY HERE. Seriously. If I could give negative stars in the review I would. Horrible experience. And I saw not one, but three rooms. And all were is the same dysfunctional, neglected state. Pay a few bucks more and stay elsewhere.

My family and I stayed here for a quick stay after missing our connection at DWT. It was a very nice and comfortable atmosphere. The room was clean along with the surroundings. The hotel is located in an area where we could walk to get food to eat, or purchase other items for our 24 hours stay. We left early the following morning, so we did not utilize the breakfast area, but they do provide a complimentary breakfast with stay. If I am back in this area, I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed one night prior to flying out of DTW the next morning.

PROs:
-Convenient to the airport, had my own car so cannot comment on the shuttle
-All the staff I interacted with were friendly

CONs:
-Rooms just feel dated, especially the bathrooms and I was on the 4th floor concierge level. Shower/tub combo just looked like it was in need of an upgrade/remodel.
-Nothing really exciting about the concierge lounge food selection. I’m looking for a fancy coffee machine to make Americanos and cappuccinos with 24 hr access, things like that. The wow factor so to speak.
-The parking pay by app was not really something I liked. I’m happy to pay for parking and understand there is no fare gate with this system, but I’d rather just give the front desk my license plate number and let them charge me and that be it. I don’t want to fumble with an app while I’m dealing with my luggage.

That’s about all I can comment on due to my short stay. Next time I need a hotel at the airport, I’m going to try the Sheraton down the road since it looks like it has an atrium lobby and at least with Sheratons I know they have Starbucks coffee in the room.

Don’t let the exterior look fool you. This is one of the nicest Embassy Suites around. Staff is friendly, rooms are very clean and you can’t hear any airport noise. The next time I stay near the airport I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else.

Check-in was fast. I think this is primarily a park-and-ride hotel.
I loved the mid-century modern room decor! I did NOT love the constant air traffic noise! Yes, I know it's by DTW, but I have stayed in other hotels in the area, and never heard anything. The room was small, but clean, and it met my needs for an early flight out the next day. I left too early to try the breakfast.
