Located about eight miles from Wilkes-Barre and seven miles from Scranton, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (AVP) is the fifth largest in the state of Pennsylvania. It serves northeastern Pennsylvania, including the Wyoming Valley and Poconos. Allegiant Air, Delta Air Lines, and United Express fly between AVP and seven destinations in the eastern half of the United States. The airport has two runways and a single terminal with six gates.
