The sixth-busiest airport in Germany, Stuttgart Airport (STR) served more than 9.7 million passengers in 2014. Located about eight miles south of the city of Stuttgart, the airport – previously known as Flughafen Stuttgart-Echterdingen – serves as a hub for Germanwings. It has also been designated as a focus city for Air Berlin, Condor, and TUIfly. Non-stop service is available between Stuttgart Airport and cities across Germany, as well as other points in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and North America. STR consists of one runway, one helipad and four passenger terminals.
