I was somewhat put out when I saw the name of the airline. I think it was partly because it was parked so far away, our bus seemed to go on for ever and ever to reach it. People even started joking whether we were going to Guilin by road! And then the funny name. But, once inside, I was...

Small airline that provide a very good service. Our flight was used predominantly by Chinese nationals. In flight food reasonable with no choice but adequate for the time in the air. Stewards pleasant and efficient. Not a great deal of leg room. I must admit we had reservations when bused out to the waiting aircraft but could have been much...

I didn't know whether to start laughing at this bad joke or start telling my wife what a wonderful time we'd had together as our...

They have a kind of business class (12 seats), which is just the normal Economy class with other carriers. There were a lot of tour groups on board, which I think never traveled before. At...

I had never heard of OK Air but their schedule to Xi'an fitted in with the restrictive conditions attached to a 72 hour Transit Visa into Xi'an. As I am unable to read Chinese I couldn't check in online & there doesn't seem to be an English website. I wasn't convinced the airline actually existed until I found the check-in...

“Get the seats next to the emergency exit. I think it is row 27 on a Boing 737-900ER. Also take a book with you.”

“On 72 hour transit visa you must arrive & depart a different overseas city. No transit Chinese city. You will be sent out of the country”
