The flight from Sydney to Xiamen and then on to Beijing in May was faultless. The cabin staff were friendly and efficient, the food was good and the entertainment system was easy to operate and had an excellent selection. The aircraft - a Dreamliner - was spotless. Up and back the two of us shared three seats which added to...

Because it is cheap, expect a lot of drawbacks - long, multiple layovers and odd flight hours. But I don't mind, they have free hotel accommodations or a free city tour for the layovers. Food is good, but don't expect too much. It's a hit and miss. If you're on a budget and you don't want to pay for taxi...

Aircraft: new and comfortable, No terminal at LAX, must be bused, and lots of walking to get on the aircraft. Service: excellent, Food: excellent. Transit Lounges: LAX and Xiamen Fair. transit in Xiamen was confusing to find the domestic gate. Airline was chosen for it's more reasonable business class fares. If you have the time to make stops in Xiamen...

On a positive note, Xiamen has by far the best cross-Pacific pricing if you do your research. However, for any connecting flight through their hub in Xiamen, be prepared for an ordeal. You cannot get your onward connecting boarding pass. You will be forced to get a temporary entry visa, clear Immigration, get in line with everyone leaving the airport...

Writing this review while waiting at boarding gate. First time passenger for Xiamenair. The flight was slated to take off at 11.15am Sydney time, but was awfully delayed till god knows when, and still waiting well into the night. Utterly lack of communication from its staff, and passengers were left in the lurch. Patience’s wearing thin. The way in which...

We were travelling withe 2 little girls, 2 and 5. When checking in, we were told that we have to all be seated in seperate seats, even though our booking is all in one reference. YES, thats right, they were going to let a 2 yr old to sit with 2 strangers beside her for 9 hours. We tried to...

I'd never heard of this aurline, so I had no real expectations. My journey was a couple of short flights and a long one, and I was surprised by how good they were. The staff, both in the terminal and on the floght, were helpful and pleasant. I'd had breakfast before my trip, which I regretted, as the food was...

The flight was pleasant but coming from low-cost airline environment of the USA, the food was amazing. The 2hr flight had a meal that was larger and better than the 12hr flight from the US. Flight staff was young, very slim and helpful. The flight had announcements in English so we had some idea what was going on.
