Airline Summary

Based in Muscat, Oman Air (WY) is the national airline of Oman. It flies non-stop to more than 40 destinations in 23 countries in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe. Oman Air's fleet of aircraft consists primarily of two-cabin (Business Class and Economy Class) airplanes and three-cabin (First Class, Business Class and Economy Class) configurations. Although not part of an airline alliance, Oman Air does have codeshare agreements with five other carriers. The airline's primary hub is located at Muscat International Airport (MCT).

Don’t fly … rip off with oversized baggage

Do not fly with Oman Air. We arrived at Paris airport with our skis, after our ski trip. They charged €73 for oversized length. Apparently, you cannot take anything over 158cm (62 inch) in length, without paying a fee. The bag was not overweight. Apparently, this is a new rule. They need to change it or they will have no passengers.

Unfortunately the most worst airline I have treated with… they take money don’t know how to refund it back ! I tried to book a seat and take money from me after that the seat didn’t be selected! Called customer services by phone they didn’t help me just saying we don’t know you can check at counter what is that !

A horrible experience with Oman air

Please be very careful when you travel by Oman air. They’ll come out with any excuse to charge you for extra baggage. Normally it’s written on their site and also on ticket that we’re allowed 30 kgs. And it was written on my ticket as well but they said it’s only 20 kgs in our system and they asked me to pay 200 Euros extra for the 10 kgs which I didn’t have any choice at the last minute. They’re very rough and arrogant at the airport and treat you really bad. They’re very rough and in the plane the food was not good at all . I had already paid more than the their normal ticket price and they charged me forcefully for extra baggage. Never again Stephane

Oman bad experience.

The food was terrible the flight attendant that was on my aisle was rude when I asked for a class of wine with my food he said we don't serve alcohol on Ramadan I found out later when I googled it they do it's not my religion and I don't think I should suffer for it .I won't be traveling with Oman air again that's for sure . And in muscat airport was absolutely irrefic they stopped my wife and she ought to go into a room to be checked seems they don't like Western people no one spoke English couldn't make no sense of anything there not they go the experience.

Great experience with Oman Air - Loved it!

Did a round trip from Doha to Cochin (Doha, Muscat, Cochin) on Oman air, had very good experience, it was a pleasant surprise, I was expecting average service but blown away by the cabin crew, one of the best experience, I took Doha to Muscat, then Muscat to Cochin round trip, total 4 Oman air flights, every single one was grate. Food, service, cabin crew five stars to all!!
