Since I have had many flights to connect from my country to Iceland ,when I have a stop over half way at Oslo airport I need to bed rest for a while that I can access to biz lounge at Oslo airport by this Economy cofort class. Airplane seat is OK for me who am a normal to samll-size people.
Flew from ZRH to BOS via KEF. Ticket prices were very competitive but the main reason for us to use Icelandair was to make use of their offer of a great stay over on Iceland on our way back to Europe. Check in in ZRH was already challenging our patience. Line for economy moved VERY slow, while business was empty,...More
I needed to fly from Amsterdam to Edmonton this past July; Icelandair wasn't really any cheaper but the schedule worked well. Having never been to Iceland, thought it might be interesting to fly through there. Worst experience I've ever had. Flight was three hours late leaving Amsterdam because Icelandair didn't have adequate equipment. Staff in Amsterdam were incredibly rude, didn't...More
I was extremely impressed by this airline from start to finish. The BA lounge in JFK and Saga lounge in Reykjavik are spacious and great places to relax with ample food and drink options and impressive levels of service and comfort. Check in was fast efficient and polite and great to get priority loading with the luggage. The plane was...More
Three of us were traveling together, but were not sitting together; the gate attendant was able to move us to the exit row together - with the added advantage of the extra leg room that the exit rows have! The flight was approximately 7 hours; Economy seating was comfortable (blankets and pillows provided), and the in flight media had a...More
Excellent care from start to finish . Treated like royalty even in economy . On board food was good . The two bags per passenger was great, included in the fare.
Flight was on time but check in process was a nightmare. There is not one person helping you with the luggage check in Keflavik. Everything is self service including getting luggage tags and when you are in a hurry it is stressful. We got on board on time but when we took off there was absolutely nothing free (may be...More
It was a pleasant international flight. I love the small feel of both O'hare and Keflavik International terminals. The plane was equipped with pillows, blankets and individual seat back screens for a comfortable flight.
I was worried because I had read that this was a discount no frills airline. Yes, they charge for everything except basic beverages on the plane and the flight attendants make limited rounds, but the seats were comfortable with reasonable leg room and there was a good selection of entertainment. The plane seemed clean and well-maintained and our flights were...More
Icelandair is a competent airline that is reasonable in every way - prices, aircraft, service. Refreshingly it does not have the unacceptable customer service attitudes of British Air. It would be more useful to California travelers if it flew nonstop to SFO - like WOW Air. Would be happy to fly them again.
