My life's dream was to visit Iceland. I hope in the future to spend several weeks photographing there. But for now, this was just a taste of the kindness and determination of the Icelandic people.

And so were the Elves. The decorations around the overhead luggage bins were a nice touch, so were the "aurora borealis" style overhead lighting. You see, I grew up being used to taking my much revered home carrier, so taking a smaller regional airline was something new to us. I did Online Check-in prior to going to the airport, so...

We had a 6 hour trip from Minneapolis to Reykjavik. We asked for row 9 which is an exit row with as much leg room as you could possibly need. On the trip out, apparently the back of the airplane was really hot and several passengers came forward as there was a lot of space where we were sitting. On...

The staff were very friendly, but I thought it was a little ridiculous that I had to pay for my food on the flight. It seems many airlines are moving towards this but I was unaware. Also eat before you get on the flight...the food isn't anything that great. There was also an obnoxious lady on the plane that none...

I didn't enjoy this flight at all. We had a bit of delay and I had really bad (and expensive) food with which I got intoxicated. Considering this is a long flight it should not be that bad. I would not recommend it! Not at all..

they spoke in a foreign language and it didn't seem to be loud enough when they repeated it in English. The seats were good all except for the rude guy who wouldn't move his elbow from my right rib the whole 6 hr flight. The food service was great. They loaded and unloaded quickly which was great.

Took Icelandair from Denver to Frankfurt and back, with connections in Reykjavik. We’d never flown this carrier before and weren’t sure what to expect. Overall it was a good experience. Here are some highlights – KIDS – Icelandair really caters to kids. We had our four year old son with us and he got a goody bag on the two...

The plane was delayed three hours leaving Anchorage. Asking three different Icelandair staff netted answers ranging from "I don't know" to "birds". I also could not upgrade our flight. Not allowed, I was told, on the day of departure. A few weeks earlier staff at Icelandair said that was the only option to upgrade, on the date of departure. The...
