A joint venture between Malaysia-based AirAsia and Thailand’s Asia Aviation, AirAsia Thai (FD) is a low-cost carrier that operates from a primary hub at Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport (DMK). Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX), Phuket International Airport (HKT) and Krabi International Airport (KBV) are secondary hubs. The airline’s fleet consists of 44 Airbus A320 variants. AirAsia Thai flies to about 40 destinations, including 18 within Thailand. International destinations include Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Macao, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and Vietnam.

Excess baggage sneaky tactics ... avoid!!

Sneaky tactics via third party sellers. Booked a seat via booking.com and selected the biggest checked luggage allowance available (15kg). Turned up at the airport with a 20kg bag (since I've been travelling internationally and this is the standard allowance). Was met with horrendous excess kilo charges to get the bag onboard or redistribute your contents between hand luggage at a busy checking area. Went to pay the excess charges and was told they actually offer a larger baggage allowance online to avoid these charges. Really? Well that was not available to me and other friends I discussed this with. This needs to be addressed and resolved. Add to the fact the landing almost broke our spines. Not a nice experience at all. Avoid if you can

Worst airline never fly with airasia terrible service no inflight entertainment make it very boring and the food taste disgusting and when you board the plane there are a annoying robot voice that keep saying error and also i really hate the safety announcement of this airline and the landing was not butter and was so bumpy that someone just vomit this make me not feel happy and make me fail sad,angry,disgusted,bored thai airway is better

Poor effort Air Asia

Bangkok - SydneyInternational

On the 16th Jan 2025 Air Asia canceled our Sydney flights, No explanation just cancelled. It is 5 days off 2 months ago now and I am still waiting for my refund. An absolute Joke. I told them that I need the refund to pay for my Australia trip so they said *I was on a priority list* What an absolute disgrace Air Asia. Still waiting.

Poor flight service

After booking flight got email after 2weeks cancelling flight and they didn't provide proper replace flight and so support from customer service don't trust and book the flights with Air Asia.

Never Again

Travel on March 8. Flight delay from 11.55 am to 1.20 am ( 13 hours)... ground staff providing fake information , once tell us the plane was on the way from Lombok ( 25 min flight) and in the same time we got an e mail informing us about the 13 hours delay....took another flight and ask for cash refund.... the well organized scam from their IA say he did not retrieve my information ( lol)... but when i try to request a credit on Air Asia ( account), they find my information ( double lol).... i 'don't mind, i prefer lose my money than flying again with those non professional airline. As i travel around 15 times around Asia each year, they lose more money than the one they steal me.
