thinking about renting a 11 person villa near Orvieto/Todo next septemeber. Has any one done that? Is it easy to find restaurants/markets? Only two bedrooms of four ae air conditioned is that a problem? any insight will be welcome. ... more

This last summer (2008) it was still quite warm in September - but that is unusual.
You should be fine without air conditioning.
I would suggest you get recommendations on the villa - it would be a shame to have 11 people unhappy. ... more
