... give me any info on villas in skala ... ... from the airport for a first timer, as cant decide whether to hire a car or rely on taxis?
Any recommendations on villas would be appreciated.
Is self catering a dear option in skala?
Is the weather good mid september?

... you talking about a private villa, or a villa style package holiday? We always go last week Sept/ first week Oct. and stay at the Zephyros. Can not speak highly enough of this small and friendly hotel - and nor it seems can many others (see photos and reviews).

Feel a bit more confident about the driving now, as this is the best option for seeing the island.

villa anna is part of solomos villas and is next of zephyros hotel.the info is correct.you need to walk about 800 metres to village center.The most villas in skala is not in walking distance of the center. ... more
