Hi can anyone help me - travelling with an adult paraplegic with limited mobility and need a 2 bedroom apt on the gold coast (prefer Broadbeach). I would have thought in this day and age that "disabled access" rooms were the norm in most hotels and apartment blocks. But maybe I am wrong and some developers are not so enlightened.

... for the reply - the actual access is not ... ... we require a 2 bedroom unit for a caregiver and a shower with wheelchair access and a kitchen so we can cook. I have read a lot of forums requiring disabled access and they all state how bad the Gold Coast is ... more

... has a great 2 Bedroom apartment, its a 4 star.
And if you want to go all out, Peppers Broadbeach is beautiful.
Other than that, the Mantra on the Park is also nice as well as Santa Anne by the Sea.

Try Meriton Apartments. Not sure about the grip bar, but they do have shower seats on request.
Mantra Bel Air definitely has the handrails and shower seat - once again, rooms on request.
