... reserved a studio at the Villa Dora in an email exchange with Nora Pournara. But she doesn't want any deposit - says she has reserved it and will contact us ten days before our trip to give us direction. Can this be right? I have never not had to pay ... more

I think it is pretty common not to pay a deposit (not just greece but italy too). They like you to pay cash when you get there : ) We are staying at the delfini villas in Oia and they didn't take a deposit but have taken credit car details. ... more

... your price range the three apartments in our research, that impressed us were Dora 1 and Dora 2 - same owner (35 Euros) and Villas Nora-Norita (40E). We are staying in the latter. I'm not aware of them providing breakfast however. A web search will easily find their websites ... more

Villa Rena in Batsi - more expensive but a lovely place with pool. Rena's partner Jonny is English and an Exeter City supporter!!! We had a great time there last month. ... more
