I have to agree, for 2 days renting a room in a private apartment is pretty much the same as staying in a good hostal, which will likely be better located and no worries about check in time etc. ... more

... find it more risky to stay in a room of an apartment with other rooms being occupied by the owner (& family) or other tenants who are completely unknown to me! Anyway, if you do use the services of Airbnb, could you post your experience for the benefit of other travellers ... more

By the way, I followed the address on the link you posted and searched the address in Google Street View and result turned up an HDB public housing apartment block. There are definitely no shops at that address. ... more
