Advanced Full Payment - Holiday Rentals, Hobart

However, a lot of the websites we've seen ask for full payment in advance....in addition they don't seem to have any "secure" payment method, it's more email-me-your-card-details-please....

... I guess. These kind of holiday rentals are usually someone's personal holiday home and their business is just too small to warrant the effort of producing a professional website. On top of that, they are often expensive.

... result for a company registered with ASIC. That's highly improbable for the average holiday rental owner. It's more possible that you'll find them on www.abr.business.gov.au but even that's a bit of a long shot, I think. It's Tasmania, after all. :)

The apartments often don't have reviews on tripadvisor, but both stayz and rent-a-home usually have some reviews on the properties listed. I've made enquiries and/or booked through both and had no issues - it comes down to the operator in the end. Sorry, haven't stayed ... more

Hi- Have booked with stayz before and had no problems.
But have not stayed at the apartment you suggested- only stayed on separate occassions at Mecure Hobart, Rydges Hobart and also stayed at May Fair Plaza on Sandy Bay Road. ... more

So the question would be: where does the Hobart Mayor live? Sandy Bay? I foresee a direct link from the Hobart Town Hall, through Slamanca, over Battery Point and into Sandy Bay. :)
