There are plenty of hotel-apartment type places around Muscat. Could you give a better sense of what your budget is? I have a couple places in mind, but it all depends on budget, if they will need to be within walking distance of restaurants, etc. ... more

Yeah, Dolphin is pretty far out of the way though. I was thinking more along the lines of the City Seasons apartments... Some of the Safeer places would probably be cheaper options as well. ... more

Sorry, have no recommendations for apartments in Muscat. As for taxi drivers, I recommend them all. I have, however, found that the younger ones are generally the friendliest (and least likely to attempt to extract a "tourist tax"). If you find one that you like, ask for his phone number. ... more
