Situated on the south-west coast of Cyprus, Paphos is the ideal holiday destination for families seeking sunshine and relaxation. Yet there is more to Paphos than that: lovers of archaeology, history and culture will find a wealth of attractions. Instead of staying in cramped hotel rooms, why not rent a beachfront villa or holiday apartment in Paphos? As well as saving money, you will have more space and independence. Although there is an excellent choice of restaurants in Paphos, when you want a change you can cook your own meals just as it pleases you.
Whether you are devotee of archaeology, folklore, ethnography or the Byzantine Empire, you will find something to interest you in one of Paphos' twelve museums. Beyond Paphos itself, it is only two miles to the Tombs of the Kings, a Unesco World Heritage Site. For sports enthusiasts, Paphos offers a variety of water sports and has three golf courses. What's more, you can go horse riding, cycling or hiking in the nearby countryside. From the picturesque harbour with its medieval castle, you can enjoy a trip on a catamaran or perhaps a speedboat. If you want to do some souvenir shopping before you go home, Paphos is the perfect place for it.
There are all sorts of activities to amuse children in and around Paphos. Right on the seafront is the Aphrodite Waterpark which has plenty of rides and attractions, including the world's largest family rafting ride. Young animal lovers will enjoy the Bird Park as well as Paphos Aquarium. Why not take a trip outside of Paphos, either to the Donkey Farm or the Ostrich Farm which are both near Kelokedara village. It's only a fifteen-minute journey to the beautiful beach at Coral Bay, and you can have fun go-karting there too.
You may be thinking that a holiday in Paphos will be expensive, but you will save money by renting
self-catering accommodation. If you avoid travelling in July and August, not only will you miss the overpowering heatwaves, but you will find the cost of a holiday rental to be even lower. Summer in Paphos goes from April through until November, so there will still be plenty of warm sunshine out of season. Whether you decide on a flat in the town or a beach house, you can be sure of the very best in value with our range of rental accommodation.
