Have you considered a vacation rental apartment? TripAdvisor has a section for apartment rentals that are much cheaper and larger than hotel rooms, many for less than $150 US per night. And, you get a full kitchen and private bathroom, many have laundry facilities, dishwashers, etc. ... more

Guldgränd is very convenient, opposite the Hilton Hotel. You will be a 2 - 3 minutes walk from the old town and there is a metro station (Slussen) and many buses just around the corner from your apartment. It is a lively and fun area with many restaurants, cafes and bars. ... more
