Luna Bay Alvor - anyone stayed here??

... anyone knows if the Luna Bay has any disabled rooms. Also would like some info on the resort, is it flat with easy access to bars & restuarants i can manage with my walking stick, but need my wheelchair for travelling longer distances. Any info would be most helpful.

As for the Luna Bay Alvor ,if they have the disabled room you require ,you would have no trouble getting around it. The hotel rooms are a good size anyway.

Alvor is quite hilly, so it may be a challenge for someone in a wheelchair.
Having said this, most of the restaurants are at ground level. Unfortunately, Ruuccula is on the first floor and may not be that easy to access by wheelchair.

Good range of hotels or apartments - but it is hilly, although a lift and an escalator has been installed to make access to the Town and Fisherman's beach easier ... more

Oh, and you also have what is probably one of the best beaches in Europe with a superb wide decking if you are not keen on gettin sandy feet, this is also ideal for wheelchair bound people and easy access is via Tivoli Hotel or Jupiter ... more

Alternatively somewhere like Hotel Jupiter, Hotel Rocha, Oriental or Algarve Casino are all pretty close to the centre of the strip which has ramped access to the beach altough this is a little steep for pushing a wheelchair up it ... more
