Would we miss much by excluding Zurich, Interlaken, and Zermatt as we would be staying at only 1 location.
I only hope that we won't get bored if we stay only in Lucerne and do nearby excursions. And most apartments don't allow stays less than a week ... more

We are 2 adults and 4 kids (ages 7 to 13) and prefer a self-catering apartment in the Lucerne area from 21 August to 23 August. Most apartment sites I have found require more days or are not big enough. Any suggestions as to where to look? ... more

Hi, you would do better to look for hotels that have apartments. It is very rare indeed to find a holiday apartment available for less than a wekk. You might try e-mailing the tourist office in Lucerne. ... more

Hotel Schmid and Alfa has an apartment that only sleeps 4 (2 bedroom but no sleeping/additional cots allowed in the living room) and a double room on the same floor. Less than ideal but I think it is the best alternative ... more
