A good number of British tourists will be familiar with the Balearic Island of Ibiza, off the Spanish coast. Tourists flock here in the summer, and so Ibiza has plenty of villas and holiday apartments for rent. From Ibiza Town to San Antonio Bay there are plenty of great villas and apartments in Ibiza, including holiday apartments for as little as £348 a week. So, holiday rentals in Ibiza can be a good value alternative to hotels.
Ibiza has plenty of exotic beaches, and a number of beach-side villas that will put you to within walking distance of them. Some of the more notable beaches in Ibiza include the Cala Salada, Cala Conta, and the longest beach of Ibiza Playa d'en Bossa/Platja d'en Bossa. Along these beaches lie the crisp blue Mediterranean waters that are ideal for water-sports such as windsurfing, jet skiing, or even banana boating. Notable resorts in Ibiza include San Antonia Bay which is a top Mediterranean resort with a variety of beaches, bars, and water-sports. In the south-east of Ibiza lies Ibiza Town which has a buzzing port area. Ibiza Town also has the Dalt Vila, which stands for high town, the old town which is a UNESCO heritage site. At the top of Dalt Vila lies the cathedral of San Maria d'Eivissa.
Ibiza has a number of family villas. Such villas include plenty of amenities for families such as fully equipped kitchens, pools, dining rooms, and BBQ along with additional services. Ibiza also has a few family resorts such as the Playa d'en Bossa which has long sandy beaches, amusement parks, and a bowling centre. The mini resort of Portatx is also a recommended family resort with shallow waters and is great for bathing.
To the north of Ibiza lies the Can Marca Caves at Puerto de Sanguel beach. The caves are open with guided tours, and the Sanguel beach is also worth a visit. Near to Ibiza Town is Aguamar, the biggest water park in Ibiza which has some great slides! Also worth a boat trip is Ibiza's sister island of Formentara, and its capital San Francesc. Alternatively, with a few holiday villa rentals in Formentara some prefer to stay at the small island. Formentara has further great beaches, and transparent waters which are great for snorkelling.
