... tricky - you will only find apartments in the bigger towns (Tours, maybe Amboise). You will have a lot more luck looking for holiday cottages (gites) but even they may come with a minimum booking of one week - Spetember was our busiest time last year, and accommodation was in high demand ... more

... Cannes. If you have the time then I would truly recommend the drive. We stayed in chambre de hotes and gites along the way. Never booking in advance. We discovered some lovely little villages along the way and really felt that we had touched on the 'real' france. Happy travelling ... more
