We spent a very enjoyable week taking it easy at the apartment A04 Antigua Bay in September. The apt. had all the mod cons we needed, fridge/freezer, washing machine, TV with a DVD etc, both the bedrooms had ample space for all your clothes, (not 2/3 shirts per hanger as sometimes happens). We were very lucky with the weather and were able to lie out on the sun loungers on the patio all day, the patio is secure in as much as young children can't wonder off. There are not a lot of shops near the apt. but there are a few cafe/restaurants and a very nice Chinese restaurant just round the corner.
We found Cala De Fuste was nice if you wanted to look round the shops and have a greater choice of restaurants, its only 5/10 mins. drive and has a nice beach.
