Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Our Stay
The lodge is in a perfect location with an amazing view of the Peak District and is only a short drive away from many nice walks and attractions. It has an enclosed garden which is great for dogs. The lodge is lovely and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need including a washing machine and dishwasher. The complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and breakfast jams were appreciated, as were the top quality toiletries and welcome treats for our dogs. The bedroom is very light and spacious with fresh white bedding and a super comfy bed and pillows. The host Sarah was very friendly and welcoming. The owners dogs Maisie and Molly were lovely & friendly and our dogs Benji & Willow looked forward to their visits and daily plays. We would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to a return visit ourselves. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Excellent location for our stay in the Peaks
The location was amazing with wonderful views from the Lodge. Very dog friendly for Luna with an enclosed garden and she made friends with the owners' two dogs. Accommodation very clean and comfortable and excellently fitted out throughout with attention to detail. Could not fault it at all. Wonderful pub just down the road, The Robin Hood Arms and good location to all the places we wanted to visit in the Peaks including Chatsworth. Will definitely be booking again.

A beautiful place to stay in a gorgeous part of England
Stayed here for for a few days last week, never visited the Peak District before but is a lovely place and will definitely go back. Weather was a bit rubbish but that can happen some times in the UK. Visited Chatsworth House which I would say is a just if you’re in the area. Lodge itself was absolutely perfect, really well equipped and had just had those extra little touches to make it special. Would absolutely recommend it for anyone looking to visit the Peak District,

Take me back there
Beautiful location, Accomodation spot on. All 3 of us enjoyed it, i had the sofa bed, very comfortable. Ideal place for us to go walking and have 3 uninvited very friendly dogs show up at breakfast. Clean throughout less than half a mile to the pub -bring a torch.

When can I come back?!
Beautiful lay out and lovely facilities with beautifully fragrant temple spa products and fluffy robes. Stayed one night with my husband and two large dogs on our way home from Scotland and finished our holiday off perfectly! Will definitely be back!

Gorgeous Weekend
Stayed at Moorland View Lodge over the weekend and it was even better than we expected. The photo's do not do it justice to the high spec and modern with a countryside feel of the lodge. The directions and walk recommendations added that extra touch when booking the lodge, we took our Beagle who could not escape the fenced in area and was ideal for him having a run around with the other dogs when they came to say hi in the morning. The bed is very comfy and the bath was lovely and just what we needed after a 7 mile walk! Will 100% be returning to here and highly recommend.

Just perfect!
We stayed at the cottage overnight during our long-awaited trip to Chatsworth House. There is a bus that goes directly from Chatsworth to a pub just down the road from Moorland View, so it was very convenient. We absolutely loved everything about the cottage, from the amenities to the kitchen, super modern bathroom and brightly lit, comfy bedroom. My favourite part was sitting in the outdoor seating area and looking out on the moors, where we could see the cows going home and hear sheep bleating in the distance. My friend loved the three adorable super friendly dogs belonging to our hosts who would sit outside the fence waiting for us asking to be petted! One of our hosts was even kind enough to drop us off at the village the next morning. Everything was perfect and we are considering going again sometime!

Great stay
We had a lovely time staying at Morland view, the place we stayed was beautiful, great view, lovely walks and was immaculate, with everything you could possible need. We spent a day in Chatsworth and Bakewell which is only a short drive away. Beautiful surroundings to a beautiful cottage. Would definitely revisit
