“A very comfortable stay in a beautiful location”

This was our 15th year to stay in Dogwood Cottage, and our family in neighboring Azalea Cottage. The whole Highland Lake Inn experience has become a favorite of our family, and also of a couple of families who come regularly because of our recommendation. The cottages are charming, roomy, well-equipped, appropriately heated and air-conditioned. On the grounds are a pleasant lake with boats available, swimming pool, tennis court, good restaurant, swings and hammocks, hiking trail, organic garden, goats, chickens, and a peacock. There are lots of craft and antique shops nearby, and more extensive forest hiking trails a couple of miles away.
