I guess the mystery for me, is with such high quality furnishings and supplies, how do they make any money? It was like a very wealthy friend of yours has offered you their cottage as a getaway.

For New Year's Eve, the accommodation in Hobart was booked up and what was left was overpriced business hotels. So, we opted to stay here. A little bit of a drive, but what a surprise:

The room was absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous deck looking out to a lovely view. The stained glass window is stunning, the other designed windows as well, the gorgeous Tasmanian wood floors, and bed-head and furniture. An amazing spa, a double shower, a DVD player, very comfy sofa...

And the kitchen! A Nespresso machine, and then cooking up breakfast, I see that the kitchen is completely stocked with anything you'd need to make a fancy meal including top-notch Circulon cookware.

It really was a lovely getaway, I'm jealous of those who live in Tasmania who could just hop...
