This place is amazing, In such a charming area. It's in Bophut Hills, which while they say is 'up in the mountains' it isn't. It's about a ten minute walk to fisherman's village and the beach. The place itself is outstanding, and Dang and her family are unbelievably nice. We explored the whole of Samui from here, as it was such a nice base camp.
The accommodation itself is beautiful, and comfortable. With some of the best sunset views in Samui.
Just down the road from you is a muay thai boxing ring, a temple and a laundry. It feels super traditional. There is also bophut market where we ate lunch every day. We'd buy spring rolls (the best i've ever had in my life) and other bits and pieces that generally only came to about $3AUS. There is also a Singha storage place down the road which sells cases of Asahi, Tiger, Leo and Singha for super cheap.
